If you went to see it expecting what it was supposed to be, footage found and pieced together, then it was pretty good. People expecting it to be laid out like a traditional movie were the ones who walked out. I watched it, and it wasn't the scariest movie ever, like it was touted, but it was a good, creepy flick.

I never 'got' what the hell that ending was supposed to be anyway. It didn't scare me much to see a guy standing.

I liked the ending.
It left everything up to the viewer's imagination. What did the Blair Witch look like? What happened to the guy standing?

I never 'got' what the hell that ending was supposed to be anyway. It didn't scare me much to see a guy standing. A hermit named Rustin Parr kidnapped kids in his house in the woods in the forties. He would bring the kids into his basement in pairs, killing one while the other stood with his face in the corner, then he would kill the one in the corner. Turned himself into authorities pleading insanity, and saying the spirit of a witch made him do it.

My imagination was, sadly, severely disinterested in formulating an ending for the movie by the time it ended.

"WHERE'S THE MAP??!! WE'RE F***ING LOST!!! I HATE YOU!!!" *an hour later* "WHERE'S THE MAP??!! WE'RE F***ING LOST!!! I HATE YOU!!!" What improv skills. Never said the execution was good. But what you said was something I was looking for on Youtube (Denis Leary's impression of the movie) No I know, I was agreeing with ya.

At the time I watched it, I think I was 15 at the time, it was huge. The marketing made this film a must see movie. When we saw it we weren't dissapointed and one of my friends even stood up and applauded at the end of the film.
Watching it back though.....it's not as good as I remember it at all, its not a good film at all really.

I haven't seen the movie in 10 years so I can't remember whether they mention him specifically in the movie but I remember them mentioning him in detail in the "documentary" aired on the Sci-Fi Channel before the movie was released.

I know there is a PC game about Rustin Parr but I can't remember if he's mentioned in the movies.

I liked it, but I thought the ending was a little disappointing really. Not much of a pay off. But it still wasn't too bad. And I think I must be 1 of like only 7 people who really liked the sequel.

So if I'm wrong on that I apologise. I know I'm right about the making his victims stand in the corner thing.

I liked it but I liked The Last Broadcast better, which I believe I saw first. Kind of similar concept but way better executed.
