I love X-E. I wish I would have saved all my Nintendo Powers, I think I had the first 50 or so at least.

I still have a box full of them at my parents' house. They're pretty much falling apart, but they're still fun to read. I think the earliest I had was in the 20's, with Power Blade being on the cover.
Oh, and the "silver" cover of the Mega Man X issue is still the best one to me.

Me too.
I got the first issue free, because I was already a member of the Nintendo Fun Club. I wasn't too sure I wanted to subscribe to it, but they threw in the free Dragon Warrior game and I figured "I'm basically buying a game and getting a sub for free."
I still have the 50th issue pin floating around my house somewhere with the pin part busted off, but that thing keeps turning up in my kitchen for some odd reason.

I had the first Nintendo Power, and later subscribed for the free Dragon Warrior. I had a 2 year subscription, and kept my magazines for years. I think they're long gone now, though.

How many of us here did subscribe because of the free Dragon Warrior game (I'm also one of them).... And sadly, all my Nintendo Power's are long gone also...

I actually had a subscription, and Dragon Warrior just up one day. (Oddly enough, I was watching Wrestling Challenge when I got it.) It was pretty frickin sweet.

Someone stole my copy of Dragon Warrior when I moved. Oh well, I could never beat that damn game without the Game Genie anyway. Seriously. That game was a bitch!

I just read this whole article, only to find the writer quit playing video games because he thought adventure of link was too hard. Really. Even with the magazine and the free hint line?
