Even better question is how is Eddie Munster a Wearewolf?
If your mother was a vampire and your father was a Frankenstein, how come you are a werewolf?

It's a work of fiction so you, the author, can come up with any kind of science or logic to justify vamps being able to have children. True love, soulmates, genetic defects, etc.

Really just depends on the mythos.

Weeeell, in some mythos vampires are hurt by running water, any water, holy water and none of the above. So it depends. Just like it said in that article I wrote. Hooray! mymomthinksimfunny.com/WP/?p=581One question. In the Blade movie, a deleted scene I think, the main vampire walks around during non while wearing sunblock. Is this legit?

Weeeell, in some mythos vampires are hurt by running water, any water, holy water and none of the above. So it depends. Yeah and what if a vampire is living underwater and all they have to is get a priest to bless the water it's living in and then it all becomes holy water and then the vamp is screwed? There's more to this sorted little affair than meets the eye. It depends on the volume of water and the priests "holyness". A priest who is having a hard time dealing with his faith but still has some. For example his family was brutally murdered, questions what kind of god would allow this, then goes hunting the vampire down could only turn a small amount of water truly holy if any at all. So let's say his bottle of water is about 300 cubic millimeters he should be able to do this no problem to a lot of bottles. A normal priest can usually do a water fountain at a church plus the reservoir tank. A very potent priest could even bless a pool or small pond. Anything larger than that and it's ineffective. Either only a small area stays holy or it because to dissipated. I suppose if he was in a lake you might be able to give him as big of a sting as to much chlorine would but that's about it. Edit: Also it depends on the body of water itself, if it had any history of being holy that in itself might help repel a vampire. If the water has a dark history the blessing may do jack shit. Then there could also be boosters (special crosses or trinkets) added to the equation witch might make a difference.

Okay, now that's all I got. This vampire stuff is fun to talk about with Halloween coming up.

I find vampires having babies a little more conceivable after watching DBZ. A android which is not supposed to be an organic lifeform was built by a scientist and could actually get pregnant? I never understood that.

Can a vampire have a baby? Well...yes and no.
There is absolutely no way a female vampire could ever get pregnent and have a baby. Once her body becomes undead, she no longer produces any eggs. New female vampires experience a sort of "instant Menopause" if you will.
Now, if a woman is already pregnent and pretty far along after being changed, there is a good chance they could have a baby. The process which changes the mother also affects the baby as well...and in most stories, produces a half vampire.
Male vampires are varied. In some stories they cease producing semen and become sterile. Of course, these vampires can no longer impregnate women.
However, in other stories male vampires are NOT sterile and therefore can get women pregnent anytime they have sex. The only real worry then is if the woman can survive having sex with the vampire, thanks to the vampire's vast strength, claws, fangs, ect.
Also...if you consider "new vampires" to be "babies" then vampires have "babies" all the time...or at least...everytime they make a new vampire.
Oh, and for you Twilight haters out there, the sparkly vampires were able to produce offspring because the male vamps aren't sterile, so there you go.

I find vampires having babies a little more conceivable after watching DBZ. A android which is not supposed to be an organic lifeform was built by a scientist and could actually get pregnant? I never understood that. That's because of Funi Dub translation. Android 18 was actually Cyborg 18. She and 17 were a pair of twins Gero abducted and converted into Androids. He did this, so Cell could assimilate them into his matrix, which was entirely biological and needed the cyborg parts to become perfect. Now please stare at your hand for twenty minutes and mumble "Oh, yes!" Re: Holy Water: No, Catholic (and for that matter, Anglican and E. Orthodox) Theology does not work like that. Those objects are made holy by the grace of God, not faith. It's like the Holy Golf Club in Dogma. If you want to use the psychology explanation, bah! For Story Reasons, Sacramentals such as holy water, communion wafers et al, should be used for defense only in limited circumstances. It makes it way too easy if they are regularly used. Killing a vampire should be hard work.

Now please stare at your hand for twenty minutes and mumble "Oh, yes!" They even addressed that in the show itself, if I remember correctly. As I recall, someone expressed surprise that 18 had a kid, and Krillin told that person about how 18 was once human.

Glancing at the thread title quickly it looks likes it says, "Vampires having boobies." That would make an already good thread even better.
