About a month ago I posted a thread about how my ex wife was now "disabled" and will be getting about $30k from the government as a settlement, and that I'd probably see enough to catch up her child support. Well, today is the happy ending. Because I have custody of our son, I get to apply for SSI benefits for him, and I just got set up for an obscene amount of money every month for the next 15 years, and a retroactive amount to July of '07. Totally not telling her about it, but now that means I can afford to get a house, pay off some bills, and possibly send the boy to private school.

You can punch the air in victory, though.

I might think about doing that once I get my jaw off the floor. The retro is a LOT of money.

Is it enough to buy a DeLorean with a 1.21 jigawatt flux capacitor?
If so, let's party like it's 1999

Congrats, man. Still, 'tis a sad day when a man doesn't feel like punching things.

Guys...it's gigawatt. There's no such unit of measure as a jigawatt.
