Most TV shows were promoted like this at the very beginning of television.

Dressing room? They couldn't have done this when Sarah Silverman was in the cast:-/

Well the 1st ever episode was aired on October 11, 1975 so this is their anniversary week and they have been promoting this as the 35th season so this is probably just a special occasion. Oh well, it should be a good look back and hope that the current crap doesn't become too unbearable

with Gerard "THIS IS SPARTA" Butler hosting and Shakira as the musical guest And at this rate of his career, that is all Butler will be remembered for. Remember that (stupid sounding) Escape From New York remake he was supposed to lead before it got canned?

actually, I really liked him in the Joel Schumacker version of "Phantom of the Opera" and that came out before 300. Gamer was one of my least favorite movies this year and Law Abiding Citizen looks like crap too. And don't get me started on him trying to become Mr. Chick Flick.

Haven't seen Phantom (no interest either) but that didn't do much in theatres at the time, and 300 was his breakout part. But as you put it indirectly, what has he done since? That said, LAC probably will do decent business unless its atrociously bad. You know, make it beyond a week in theatres. Unlike Gamer. And even pull an upset and actually be better than 300. Which is possible, since I hated 300.

Why is Abby Elliot still one of the "featured" players and not the main cast. Bogus man!

After a brief awesome opening, SNL goes back to its norm. hey, baseball is on! If going back to its norm meant Norm Macdonald that would be cool.
