It's all gone. Pooof! Sorry yeah it's gone. Post about times you've been screwed over in anyway. My cancer was called Rhabdomyosarcoma it was in my right sinus. I was diagnosed with cancer when i was 17, two months shy of 18. I had to go through awful chemo treatments which left me horribly sick and radiation treatments which burnt my tongue so badly I couldn't swallow anything for two months, lost my senior year of high school so I had to get a GED. But the part that really screwed me over was, during the entire 11 month treatment I couldn't go to the dentist for risk of a deadly infection, fast forward one year my health insurance expired at the beginning of the year and since my insurance company paid out over a million dollars last year no insurance company will take me on due to pre existing conditions and since I don't have $35,000 to have my teeth fixed I am forced to have the majority of them pulled, which means I will be 20 and have almost a full denture. So cancer really screwed me over. Oh and there is a Chemo called Vincristine, which over an 11 month treatment really screwed up the peripheral nerves in my legs and hands, so even though it's been about 10 months since my last treatment I still can't run and have a hard time going up and down stairs, although my hands work fine now. The Biopsy My eyelid came out at the start of the treatments. My eye does not look like that anymore But I don't have a right eyebrow anymore.

I was gonna come in here and complain about my current bout with the flu, but after reading that I realized I have nothing to complain about.

I lost £5 today! Stupid banks taking my money for no reason!
...And as I read the rest of this thread, I feel like that isn't such a problem no more.

But I will say, in some ways Cancer was a pretty good thing for me. At the time I was in high school and working 30 hours at a job I hated with a passion, ( It was pizza hut) not sleeping (about 3 hours a day) felt like I was going crazy (but still sane enough to know i was going insane) smoking a pack and a half of cigarettes a day and very depressed.
So during all of that my eye started to get messed up, I and everyone around me thought it was pink eye, then after it didn't get better over time I thought it was an eye infection that had spread to the back of my eye. And in fact I went to the doctor to get some anti-depressants.
Long story short I was Baker-Acted not because I was a threat to myself or others around me, but because I didn't want to wait in line at a hospital for hours to get a CT-Scan of my head when the doctor could give me a prescription for some eye-drops or something (which for anyone who dosen't live in Florida, The Baker Act is an involuntary commitment) Needless to say it was embarrassing beyond belief to walk out of my doctors office in handcuffs (They decided to have that taken off my record after i was able to explain my reasoning behind not wanting to go to the hospital)
My first thought after being told I had cancer was...Where's my big bag of money? Which of course was a joke but I didn't have to work anymore of that awful job, but more importantly I was able to get some sleep which was very well needed.
So even though it was the most physically awful thing I ever went through it was kinda therapeutic mentally.
Oh yeah, and as I later found people who don't sleep enough have to same type of CAT scans of people with bi-polar disorder and othe mental health issues. and since i haven't felt depressed or crazy since then. I assume it was the lack of sleep

The Biopsy My eyelid came out at the start of the treatments. My eye does not look like that anymore But I don't have a right eyebrow anymore. Uhm.....I have a small penis. Holy Crap that's another thing. At the start of the treatments the doctors asked if I wanted to freeze my sperm, because the radiation treatment will make me sterile for about ten years. So I figure since I don't want to have kids until I'm 30-35, and since it costs $3,000 a year to freeze your sperm, I figure fine, I'll just be sterile for a while So just around the end of my treatments I ask my doctor is there a chance I could pass the cancer down, and he says "Oh you don't have to worry about that, you won't be able to have kids of your own" I said what, the treatments were only supposed to make me sterile for a couple of years, and he goes "well, not really" So on top of all of this there's very a good chance I won't be able to ever have kids of my own. But it's not that big of a deal to me personally, since I was adopted... But still What the hell
