Not neccessarily movies (although usually they go hand in hand) but your favourite film scenes in movie history?
Mulholland Drive: great reveal (you think they're at a show, then a recording studio, then you find out they're lip syncing and its a movieset) best love-at-first-sight scene ever. And the fifties style to it is great.
The scene from Jason takes Manhatten where the Boxer does what you've wanted every Friday the 13th character to do forever. Okay, he fails miserably, but at least he did something other rather running away screaming.

Quite simply: the scene in Boogie Nights where Dirk, Reed, and Todd have gone to Rahad Jackson's house to score some cash. There's this part where the camera pans in on Dirk's face and the silly smile that he had sloooooowly fades off as he's thinking something. What's he thinking? No one knows. And then Todd pulls the gun, and Rahad starts shooting. It's such an intense moment and you can just feel the tension build and build.

Even though Hot Rod was a comedy, it was very surreal to have this happen in the middle of nowhere and then act like it never happened right afterwards.

SPOILER: One of those scenes that gets me emotional every time I see it. I am still mad that Jim Carrey didn't get an Oscar nomination for this. And I have to add this one just for pure silliness:

The Russian Roulette scene from The Deer Hunter. Very intense ...
And I like the intro scene to Watchmen with the Bob Dylan song playing. I know that movie gets some hate around here, but I liked it.
And how could I have forgotten to mention the musical scenes from the original movie The Producers ...

The final scene with the flasher in Observe and Report. Came out of nowhere and elevated that movie from "pretty funny" to "F*** Yeah" for me. The gold standard of conflict resolution forever more.
