Every wrestling promotion does this The Attitude Era was Rock,Austin,Triple H and Taker The New Generation Era was Bret,Shawn and Diesel The Golden Era was Hogan,Savage,Andre and Dibiase Smackdown will soon be Punk,Taker and (Maybe Jeff)

Also for current, I'd consider Jericho for over Jeff, since Jeff will likely be leaving soon.

A Year ago in what was laregly considered a throw away feud Also I hate the word pwned with a passion and it still makes me think of Pawn Shops I hate it too, which is why I used it. Throwaway feud or no, it disproved your point. You are simply making excuses. I get what you are saying about a scant few wrestlers being on top during different eras, but back then there were way less PPVs and shows, it made a lot more sense and didn't get stale. Then during the Attitude Era, lots of different guys got chances to feud with the top guys and have matches with them. It wasnt Rock vs. Austin vs. Taker ad naseum. Things regularly got shaken up and adjusted. I like pawn shops! They give me money for junk nobody wants, which I can then spend on 40s.

Otherwise yeah counting RAW,SD and ECW Main Events I withdraw my point and figure I should say one of my favorite matches is Triple H vs. TAKA Michinoku

Stats on the stagnant nature of the WWE. . . I still can't be bothered to watch the WWE due to their "meh" storylines, which says a lot seeing how I grew up watching the train wreck early-mid 90's wrestling.

Sorry didn't it posted before. Mind bogglin stuff though.
And considering these guys are in every RAW (or SD) main event and there is little focus on anything else in WWE shows I think it's worse than TNA, just FYI.
I mean at least TNA has weeks where they take off or showcase another division. The last time that happened on RAW was with Shaq, and I barely count that because I turned RAW off after Cena won because I forgot there was another match.

Re: PPVs vs regular TV
Remember, there were alot less PPVs back in the day, reducing risk of overexposure from that too.
Since we're into stats on this thread, could somebody please post the buyrates for The Bash for the last 3 years? I'm curious.

I would love to know the stats on how many Raws have had handicap matches over the last year. Depends, can we classify all singles matches featuring Triple H as handicap matches?
