I...I don't know what to think! Chris Jericho has gone on for so long about people being hypocrites & pandering to the fans. Yet on RAW, was he not guilty of what he considers a crime? While on camera, he went on about Canada being his home. He went on about living in Calgary for 7 years and training in the Hart Dungeon. But when he thought he was off-camera, he trashed them by pretty much saying they would swallow whatever Kool-aid he forced down their throats and that Calgary smelled. He told the fans what they wanted to hear so that they would support him. He pandered to them!
Is Jericho, dare I say it, a hypocrite or is this yet another attempt by the WWE to force the fans to cheer for mainly John Cena at the expense of one of their strongest characters?

It's Canada man. Short of having Jericho come out and wipe his ass on the flag, what else could they possibly do to get him boo'd?

But why take that road? That pretty much makes Jericho what he's been against since he first turned. Why not just let the crowd reaction speak for itself, especially since Canada is considered "Bizarro Land"?

On a related note, I am so sick of WWE making the heels rip apart their hometowns or home countries. Even before Raw I absolutely knew Jericho would criticize Calgary just because WWE does it every time. Also, I just knew that the Hart Dynasty would not appear. Granted it wasn't their show, but that doesn't stop WWE from booking SmackDown talent on Raw. Cryme Tyme anyone?

The opportunity was there, so they pounced.

Simply have him come out and do what he always does: slam the fans. Instead, he panders to them.

I was honestly more annoyed with the "The Problem with Canadian's is they aren't American" line because that goes more against his character then anything. It would have made way more sense for him to say something like"The problem with Canadian's is they're just like American's"and then go into a bit of his normal hypocrites etc spiel

I just knew they wouldn't be on Raw, which they weren't. Anyone can appear on Superstars, but appearing on Raw means more. I wasn't angry, I just honestly knew that Jericho would heel Canada and Hart Dynasty wouldn't be on Raw. It's hard to be worked up over it when you already suspect it will happen or not happen.

I don't see a problem. He was saying he was an honest decent man but he goes and throws HBK into a T.V. Monitor, attacks Cena with Legacy's help and assaults loads of WWE Legends.
Its just your classic heel talking out of his ass, simple as that.

Eh, they just made it more explicit then usual. SRS Jericho has always had undertones of personal hypocrisy to him. It's part of what makes the character work.

Isn't everyone a hypocrite to a certain extent in reality?

Isn't everyone a hypocrite to a certain extent in reality? That depends almost entirely on how temporally elastic you consider hypocrisy to be. Practically speaking, yes.

If anything Jericho should have just gone on rant about that riot he caused last year where that stupid couple spit on him and he punch that girl right in the face.

The opportunity was there, so they pounced. You know, if they're so worried about their golden boy getting booed, why not just not book him against the one Canadian Main Eventer on the show? I have never understood their incessant need to try and break the wills of certain crowds to suit their own manufactured agendas. Y2J was their only jingoistic favorite on the show. How could they not expect a Western Canadian crowd to not cheer one of their own? It's just stupid. Book a different match, assholes.

Its better to be a little mad at jericho's antics for Jericho vs Cena, because if it wasn't Jericho, it probably would have been Legacy vs Cena (and thats would have made this board explode with anger)
