But why take that road? That pretty much makes Jericho what he's been against since he first turned. Because heels are supposed to be full of crap! They're NOT supposed to be the ones in the right, no matter how much anyone might want it to be so. They can believe they're right, to themselves, but they shouldn't actually be right. Jericho's a heel, the bookers and writers wanted him to heel it up. And if this gives a face (preferably not Cena) a shot to point out Jericho's own hypocrisy, so much the better.

He's a heel he's SUPPOSED to be wrong Wrong, sure, but not go against his entire mindset. That defies the psychology of his whole character.

Jericho's supposed to be wrong just because he's a heel? When he first turned heel, he was CORRECT in everything he said. He's been right ever since. Jericho was a different kind of heel: one that's right!

He's a heel he's SUPPOSED to be wrong Wrong, sure, but not go against his entire mindset. That defies the psychology of his whole character. But the psychology of his character is that he's a self-righteous hypocrite. It's like when he was lambasting the legends about always going on about their past achievements, and yet he went out of his way to repeatedly mention his undisputed championship reign. Or when he said to Cena on his return that he'd face him like an honest man, and yet attacked him from behind that very show. This week was a little more obvious then usual, but this hypocritical undercurrent has been a part of his SRS character from day one. He's a heel. He's meant to be a bad guy.

WWE should have just rolled with the reactions instead of trying to force fans to boo Jericho and cheer Cena when they clearly wanted to do the opposite.

Or when Jericho criticized Rey for hiding behind a mask, then ambushes him while wearing a mask. He constantly does things that undermine his arguments. Which is what makes him the villain.

I...I don't know what to think! Chris Jericho has gone on for so long about people being hypocrites & pandering to the fans. Yet on RAW, was he not guilty of what he considers a crime? While on camera, he went on about Canada being his home. He went on about living in Calgary for 7 years and training in the Hart Dungeon. But when he thought he was off-camera, he trashed them by pretty much saying they would swallow whatever Kool-aid he forced down their throats and that Calgary smelled. He told the fans what they wanted to hear so that they would support him. He pandered to them! Is Jericho, dare I say it, a hypocrite or is this yet another attempt by the WWE to force the fans to cheer for mainly John Cena at the expense of one of their strongest characters? His gimmick is a hypocrite. He claims to be an honest and moral person, but his cheating tactics, and attacking wrestlers both verbally and physically is anything but honest and moral.

I think we all have a little hypocritical, gelatinous tapeworm in us, whether we like it or not.
