I was thinking of getting a PS2, the new one with the built in online adapter. I played Halo at my friends house with Xbox Live and it is just phenominal. One problem with Xbox is that at 3 attemps, Xbox hasn't produced a sucessful wrestling title. I heard that the online feature on WrestleMania 21 doesn't even work. I heard that the online feature on Raw vs. Smackdown 1 does work. Overall for wrestling and other PS2 titles, how does the online feature compair to the Xbox conterpart ? Also, are there any features for online play updated for the Raw vs. Smackdown 2 ?

Actully, I'd be careful around any wrestling game online, since there are moves that some people tend to cheat and such, and it might even be worse since they have a ranking system now, but, you might also find some players who arn't cheap and all.
Anyways, so far, I haven't seen any new info on the online mode.

How do they cheat ? Do they mod their system or something ?

I wouldnt play SvR1 online. You can only play regular 1-on-1 matches (with DQ) and bra and panties matches online. It's pretty sucky. Hopefully SvR'06 will let you do better matches.

Is the PS2 online cost per game or one subscribtion for all games ?

Some people use Gameshark to increase the stats of their wrestlers way above what they should, and in the last game, they abused the (I think) Headbutt 06 move since you couldn't counter it, that sorta thing.
Edit: and as for its cost, its not like the X-Box where you have to buy a subscription, I think each game that can be played online is free as long as you have the equipment to hook it up.

I heard on the Xbox, the Admins will boot people off for cheating.

I might be wrong, since I don't play online and all, but I don't think that the PS2 games have admins to control how people play, bleh, one of the reasons I don't go online, the other reason, I don't have the stuff to hook it up.

*Nods* Yep, however, there are some decent players, but generally, you unfortunly run into alot of people who like, overuse some moves like the above poster said, and other things, and yeah, with the regular SDvsR, you could only do the 1 on 1 and Bra and Panties matches, not to good I tell ya.

When Raw vs. Smackdown 2 comes out we should have like a forum tournament.

I went online with SvR once or twice. It wasn't too bad. I didn't really play against anybody who cheated, and I think not having a ranking system may have been part of the reason why. When there are rankings, people will cheat to get ranked high.
I think a benefit of online play that is often overlooked is the ability to privately challenge people you know. You don't have to play against strangers.... if you have a friend with a PS2, you can meet up online and play each other. This is helpful if your friend happens to live far away!

Yeah, I don't think a ranking system was a good idea, since its going to bring out alotta cheaters, but yeah, sometimes the A.I. does that repeat moves as well, ahh, oh well.

I remember an online match I had against a guy that played as JBL and gave me these moves:
1. Sidewalks slams me 2. Elbow drops me 3. Picks me up 4. Powerbombs me 5. Elbow drops me 6. Picks me up 7. Sidewalk Slam
ALL THROUGH THE FREAKING MATCH. I managed to reverse one finally and made the little p**** tap with a Crossface.

*Nods* Yeah, the peole who repeat moves are a pain. Don't forget the people who also run outside the ring, though hopefully with the new stanima system, that won't be happening that much as well.
