WCW Monday Night Nitro, 1997 Main Event Lex Luger vs, Hollywood Hulk Hogan
Lex Luger endured run ins from every member of the NWO to win the WCW title cleanly. Luger made Hogan tap in the middle of the ring. The celebration was awesome. His reaction to winning the title was awesome. Even though he had the title for one week, it was the greatest win of any major pro wrestling championship in my eyes. What were your favorite world title wins?

What happened at the end of his life notwithstanding, Benoit at Mania XX without a doubt.

Even though it was overturned, the original Jericho title win was amazing. I marked for a good five minutes straight.

I'd say it was Ultimate Warrior beating Hogan at WM.

Austin giving HBK the stunner at WM and walking out with the title is the 1# Pop I've heard in my life.
So I'll say that one.

Angle winning the title from Austin during the InVasion. I forget which PPV it was. The reaction was amazing and if I remember rightly they had all the WWF wrestlers come out. Made for a great moment. I was pissed that he lost it the next night, though, especially because it was essentially a device to turn William Regal, who, much as I love him, was nothing near a deal breaker in the whole angle.

I don't care that they weren't clean, those are still my favorites. Unfortunately, I couldn't find just actual footage of the Foley match.

It has to go to Foley no doubt, but this: Even though it was overturned, the original Jericho title win was amazing. I marked for a good five minutes straight. was one of the greates moments in wrestling history, and later in the night one of the most anger inducing. I was a mark and was absolutely pissed off that night when the decision was overturned.

I went crazy when these moments happened so I guess i consider these some of the greatest world title wins ever:-
Edge's first world title win at New Years Revolution 2006. Guerrero beating Lesnar at No Way Out 2004. Benoit finally winning the big one at Wrestlemania 20. Hardy winning the title for the first time at Armageddon 2008. Michaels winning the Elimination chamber at Survivor Series 2002.

Jericho's overturned title win made me mark like hell, then made me turn on HHH in the same night. Seriously.

After a whole year of being WWF Champion-less and getting screwed by Vince at Mania, his quest for top gold is finally completed to a gigantic pop.
Others...

Well according to Angle, he wasnt scheduled to win it that night, but they made a very late decision to give it to him because he was the uber american babyface and they were coming off of 9/11 (the ppv was 9/23). After Vince said he liked the idea, Angle called Austin and Austin okayed it, and they did it.
