I think when they bring Taker back they ought to team him up with Kane as a heel. With Matt and Jeff reuniting(however briefly) and Runjin Singh being revelaed as the Great Khali's brother they could do something about being inspired by all the brotherhood these days.

Honestly, I cant see them doing that, especially with Jeff leaving. Not to mention that I just dont think fans are willing to boo Taker anymore

The timing wouldn't be great with Jeff leaving as they would then need an extra top babyface. Though I wouldn't want Taker hogging too many main events at this stage of his career, and having hungry younger guys like Morrison they can keep building up.

Taker as a heel now wouldn't work for so many reasons.,

I doubt that will happen. With Jeff's leaving, and Morrison and Matt Hardy I think still needing a couple of months, Undertaker would be a perfect feud for CM Punk right now. Besides, I think Taker's at a point in his career where he won't be booed anymore and Punk/Taker is an epic feud in the making.

Undertaker as a heel... I can't see it happening anymore.
He could return and attack The Hardys, Cena, Trips, Rey and Shawn with a chair, and everyone would love it.
He could strangle kittens whilst wearing a nazi symbol, and they'd love it.

I don't see why everyone seems to think guys like Taker, HBK and HHH can never be heel again. Just have him come back and kick JR in the nuts and boom, instant heel turn.

Undertaker is needed as a face, in order to keep CM Punk occupied in a new and interesting angle until someone else has been built up.

Burying (literally not figuratively) Rey Mysterio could accomplish it.

I'm not a fan of Jeff Hardy, in all honesty, but I really hope the rumours are false and he's staying. Why?
1. He's getting me interested in him for the first time...well, ever, I guess. Though I did absolutely love his ladder match with the Undertaker. 2. He's bringing out the best I've seen of Punk. They have great chemistry. and 3. I'd LOVE to see another heel 'Taker run.
This is what I'm loving about SD! right now. There's so many awesome things going on and leading to more potentially awesome things, I honestly don't mind where they go. If Punk beat Hardy for the title tonight, leaving Punk to feud with Matt or Morisson, I'd be happy. If Jeff retains and goes on to face the Undertaker, I'd be happy. Hell, if Mike Knox burst through the ring, somehow won the title, and went on to feud with Hacksaw Jim Duggan, I'm confident that something awesome would come of it.

"Is that because you're better than me?" the problem is when guys like that leave and comeback they get the welcome back pop, then they can attempt to be turned heel. If the fans like their victim enough they'll boo. THen they do some of their classic spots and the fans cheer. The turns just don't stick.

They could force the issue and turn Taker heel successfully if they really wanted to. What would be the payoff to doing so though? Not only do people cheer Taker, but people WANT to cheer Taker...if that makes any sense. They don't want WWE trying to take that away from them.
The simple fact that SD is severely lacking top faces is reason enough to leave his alignment alone.
Edit: I laughed at the fact that having "Heel turn" in the thread title brings up an ad at the top for womens high heels. =P

Would not work anymore. The only possible way would be hiring Russo back and have him write a worked shoot angle, where Taker starts to shoot in the middle of a match, grabs a mic and say how wrestling is fake and all the fans are morons and that he will do a real man's sport and start an MMA career...
