I wouldn't get too overtly worked up about it no. Same if he came back.

It would. I like Stone Cold and WWE wouldn't be the same for me if he never came back. I guess I like Austin for the same reason some like Hogan. He's been too big a part of everything just to leave and never come back again .

I would... Austin, in his prime, was one of the greatest things I've ever seen, and is one of the reasons I got back into wrestling.
Because of that, he has built up a nearly inexhaustable stock of goodwill. He, by definition, couldn't suck enough for me not to miss him if he never came back.

Nope, not even a little bit. I understand and respect his contribution to the business but his shtick, imo, is tired and the same ol' thing he's been doing for years. If he could still wrestle without injuring himself then I'd be all for him sticking around, but that isn't the case.
The fact of the matter is, he ain't going nowhere regardless if I like it or not. Him being the "Hogan" of the newer generation so to speak, he'll keep trotting his beer-drankin, stunner-deliverin ass to the ring so long as people chant "what." I don't see his appeal going away anytime soon either.

Why bother bringing back some old timer who has a screwed up neck and two f'd up knees. Just cause he was able to work a mic and get over with the fans. He can't wrestle so what's the point ? Nah.. it's senseless. [/sarcasm]

It never ceases to amaze me how much smarks love to hate people who acheive a great amount of success within the wrestling business, and how much they love to love people who aren't anything currently, and never will amount to anything in the future. Just my two cents.

Personally it never ceases to amaze me how people can't express an opinion without being categorized

Not a bit, it's over for him. He's got nothing left. Yet they'll continue to trot him out every few months to stun some random McMahon for no reason. If Ed McMahon is still alive I hope that he's next.

Personally it never ceases to amaze me how people can't express an opinion without being categorized True dat. True dat, indeed. Listen I was one of Stone Cold's biggest fans back in his hey day, but that was about 4 or 5 years ago. Like Hogan I'm sick of him coming out and doing the same exact thing. The amount of time that whole Austin segment got made me sick, and the predictability was even worse. I mean I just wouldn't care if he left for good, he's way overused lately and he's a bore.

Nothing to do with resenting him for achieving some sort of success but I don't care to see him back. Judging by last night, I have no desire to see him stun those in authority anymore. Been there, done that

It would actually be a breath of fresh air to see a heel come out and lay his ass out. Let them benefit from it and get some good heel heat. I'm sick of him coming out and knowing that it's going to end with someone getting a stunner and him drinking some beer.

I was actually thinking someone like Chris Masters since Austin would be above ever going to SD. But I know, Chris Masters isn't worthy of being put over someone like Austin, yada yada yada. Fact is, he's being groomed to be something big it seems. If not him, maybe Edge could come out and f*** him up. Anything but another person getting a stunner and Austin parading his drunken ass around the ring.

It wouldn't move me either way. I like him, but I'm not a rabid Stone Cold fan.
Yeah, that'd be nice. Unfortunately, we're gonna get stuck with Hogan filling that role. Ick.
