There are three major forces of evil in the wwe: Chaotic Evil - Orton Neutral Evil - Edge (injured) Lawful Evil - Chris Jericho Jericho rarely cheats, and has a "power level" on par with John Cena and Triple H, arguably the two "highest power" characters in the company. His in-ring style and ability to counter, go toe to toe and battle-back puts him at the opposite end of the spectrum from most "chickens**t" heels, with most of his losses coming from combinations, trickery or surprise pins than the standard finisher 1-2-3. Even Jericho's ideology and motivation put him at odds with other heels in the company, who he has shown in the past to be terminally disgusted with. His malevolent behavior stems from frustration and (misguided) indignation, rather than egomania or psychosis. He considers himself to be the best, there's a chance that he is, and he's been through some situations that have clearly traumatized him, though he'd surely argue that "traumatized" is the wrong word. "Enlightened" would be more like it. However, for all terms and purposes, I don't think that there's any real reason this character wouldn't work as a face. Just throw him up against a monster heel, or a real menacing psycho, or even someone like Jack Swagger, who gets in his face, and the character's behavior would sort of right itself. He's not a coward. He's not a cheater. And he's willing to fight anyone. What are your, the Wrestlecrap Forums, thoughts on a Face Serious Jericho?

SRS Jericho would probably get over as a face by putting him up against other heels who the fans don't have any kind of predisposition to want to cheer. Like for a heel who's a total monster, Jericho could go on a tirade about how their violence and reckless abandon is completely lacking in any kind of strategy and has a high probability for causing unwanted collateral damage. They could seriously hurt someone unrelated in a mad bid to take out a different target, and that since they're so unfocused except by anger, they're a disgrace to the ideals of actually wrestling.
Now who he could best do that with, I don't know.

Knowing WWE, the second he goes face again he'll be a comedy character. Interesting to see how his current persona would work as a face though. BTW, what does SRS stand for?

I dont think it would work very well or be entertaining, honestly.
The character he has now doesnt lend itself to working in a face context. Right now he is pointing out the faults and fallacies of his opponents, who happen to be faces, so they are of course out to prove that he is incorrect since a face would be concerned with their image and doing the right thing.
A heel doesn't care about those things though. Jericho, for instance, comes out and rants about Randy Orton hurting people and not respecting the rules and whatnot. Why would Orton care?

Orton would probably consider him to be insolent and a whiner, though Jericho would be the kind of guy to transition from that into a "Tell it like it is" kind of face. If there's something wrong with anyone, he's the first to say it and the last to take it back. That is to say, Jericho as that sort of face would basically keep running his mouth about the heels' failings, to the point where they'd be sick of him and they'd want to shut him up. Only, he'd be rather impossible to get rid of on account of his wrestling ability.

I would point out that Edge is already a face and appeared on TV pandering to the hypocrites and catering to drones.

One of the things that makes people (at least on here) like Heel SRS Jericho is that he ISN'T booked as an incompetent coward who runs away from things. Even the heel SRS Jericho has a bit of Batman in him; he wants to go on a crusade against the "scum" of society (liars and hypocrites). If his quest was directed against the right opponent...

I think the Batman angle is good, especially if it includes refusing to cooperate with most other faces (except maybe Cena, who at this point the character must have a tiny drop of respect for).
