The proper term for the masks is 'flamboyant'. Like back in the 1990s when Vince McMahon would constantly refer to Shawn Michaels as flamboyant. In retrospect, maybe Vince was inferring that Shawn was gay I don't know.
If you would like you can also replace flamboyant with bizarrrrrre. And Shawn Michaels with Goldust. Same rule applies.

Yeah, because a guy who went around asking grown men to kiss his ass should be the arbitrer of what's "gay" or not

Rather than find it funny or insulting, I just took it as further evidence of WWE Creative's (and by proxy, Vince's) lack of wit. Are eight graders writing this crap now?

No, I think a dyslexic ferret could be a better writer than Brian Gewirtz. 8th graders are way too highbrow to write for WWE now.

Homophobia runnin' wild...
I use it all the time. Though I'm as far from homophobic as it can get. So I wasn't offended, just surprised Vince (A person of his position and stature in the company..) would let something like that slip.

Like someone has said I bet he has just found out that people use the word Gay to describe something rubbish. He will be greeting wrestlers with Wassup in a few months I'm sure.

(envisions Vince McMahon learning how to use Wikipedia, finally finding a page on Liberace, and yelling out "LIBERACE WAS WHAT?!?!?") after the show.

Even though I'm bi, I didn't really care at all. It surprirsed me, but didn't bother me.

Didn't think it was that big of a deal at all. If you were offended by Vince McMahon's comment I suggest you never step foot in a high school.

If you were offended by Vince McMahon's comment I suggest you never step foot in a high school. Having left that situation a year ago, just because it is widely done by a lot of ignorant people does not make it acceptable or appropriate.

Wow, and I thought "not that there's anything wrong with that" was a politically correct thing to do.

Allow me to say that as a heterosexual, I am offended every time C.M. Punk says he is "straight-edge". I think I will protest in front of titan towers.

How ironic is this? Especially seeing as that she called me a skeezeball creep once. I should note that I had asked for her to sit on my face.

It wasn't very PG. Actually, in a way it was. God knows teenagers say this kinda crap everyday. I'm sure he wasn't trying to offend anyone, and I'm willing to bet, he first heard that phrase from a teenager or twenty something, he was just going along with what a lot of other people are saying, not that that's a good thing though. I never liked that kinda remark, but i'm not offended by it

You guys are making way too much of this. There are a lot of other words he could have said that are far more offensive than "gay."

Those PSAs are so... ...well, you can see where I'm going with this. And then there's this. The reason the campaign is flawed to begin with. Bless you for that link. Don't forget to read the accompanying news post.
