Well? Now Rock has truly left, maybe it's time to change the name of Smackdown to....Can'tseeme? Or after an old PPV name like No Mercy? Or perhaps just take away association with the Rock by having DX say "We got 2 letters for ya, SD!" or "We got 10 syllables for ya, Lay the Smackdown on your candy apples!"
What do you guys think? Enough is enough and it's time for a change?

Nah, it's not like he originated the term or anything. Yeah he used it alot, but he didn't invent it.

The power of WWE, every kind of conflict is called a Smackdown, that's the power of WWE in that when people think of Smackdown they think oh WWE. wrestling.

No. That would be very stupid. It would be like changing the name for Raw.

Yeah but until Rock left, Smackdown was clearly well known as the 'Rock's Show'. He certainly referred to it as such a few times....
Yeah, I do agree they should leave it as it is. Even the Rock Haters can't argue this one

Bring back Rodney Mack and if you make him the center of the program, you can call it "Mackdown."
Is nobody else with me on that one?

No, few people still associate the title with Rock, I would wager.

I know this lady who was complaining her kids got all riled up watching the Smackdown (this was the day after SummerSlam), so I think Smackdown has a pretty good brand identity with the public at large.

No, but bring back the original minimalist set design and theme. I marked for those, esp the oval Titantron.

It's been established for far too long to go changing it's name now.

wow the Rock just left? Here I thought his last match was in 2004 Some people have hard time facing the reality. Anyway. Smackdown is a well known name. There's no reason to change it.
