is gonna feel pretty stupid if he and Mark lose to Jerishow at Breaking Point. I understand that it was to set up a PPV match but in terms of kayfabe why didnt MVP just ask for the match tonight to be for the titles since Floyd was on his side?
Clearly he had confidence going into it that he would win and therefore earn the shot at the ppv. Maybe I'm over annalyzing here but it just strikes me as odd that MVP would ask for a match with the champs after sucking up to Mayweather and not have it be a title match. No one to my knowledge has ever asked for a #1 contenders match, they just get booked in them.

I assumed that with Vince in the building, he'd have authority to override Floyd Mayweather, anyway.

You have to earn a title shot. But that rule changes by segment.

I thought the booking was terrible for all of that. I actually thought it was a title match at first and that MVP/Henry had won the titles. I don't recall them saying it was for a title shot at Breaking Point, although I admit I wasn't giving it my full attention.

I would've preferred had they won the titles last night, though, mostly since I want Jericho and Show to lose them.

He (MVP) said something to the effect of "how bout I go find a partner and challenge these jokers to a match tonight. and if me and my partner win we get a match for the title at breaking point."

As much as I love Jerishow I would have rather had MarkVP win the titles last night setting up a rematch for breaking point. WWE still gets to have that match on the card and now the set up makes a whole helluva lot more sence. Of course in this scenario Jerishow would win back the tag belts ^_^ but that's just my preference

MVP was great on the mic last night. Don't really like the idea of having two thrown-together teams feuding over the Tag Titles, but I'm glad he got a strong reaction from the Las Vegas crowd.

I was confused because MVP asked for a match with the stipulation that if he and his partner won they'd get a title match at Breaking Point, and Mayweather's response was something like, "we can have the match tonight!" which made it sound like they were getting a title match right then. It wasn't until the end when Cole squealed that Mizark and MVP were going to BP that my uncertainty was resolved.

I don't care if the booking was bad. MVP is getting a damn title shot. Even if it is for the next to worthless tag titles, it's a much deserved title shot.

They're not going to win. I don't know about you guys but i really (usually) don't like these tag teams being made out of the blue. If they lose, then it's done. what a team!! JMO.

I see Jerishow retaining at the PPV for sure.
At least it keeps Henry & MVP doing something relevant.

For the people complaining about tag teams being made out of the blue...two points:
1)They don't have enough regular tag teams to do anything with, and one of the few ones they do have just lost last night.
2)It worked for Rockabilly and "Double J" Jesse James.

At least give us a name or some build up (have Henry save MVP or something) so we could take it more legit..If rey lost you could've potentially had:
Rey/Khali (on house show i think) Priceless Mvp/Henry Jerishow Harts Cryme time EZ/Koslov (hopefully)
That's not a terrible division really.

Only a few months ago we only had Priceless, Harts, and Cryme Time.

Yeah, if you're not going to have either of them go after singles belts right now, teaming them and letting them have a (hopefully hot) tag feud with Show and Jericho is a good way to go. Keeps fans excited to see them, on the frontburner, and in the process they're both in a fresh element, tagging instead of wrestling singles.
I agree though as far as story, it was kind of stupid for MVP not to demand a title shot that night, considering Mayweather probably would've approved any stipulation he asked for. But they obviously needed MVP to go out and say everything they wished Mayweather would have bothered to learn, so what are you going to do?

Maybe he thought winning the titles at the PPV would look bigger.
