Is it safe to say we will most likely never see that match again. Khali is turning into a flop like Giant Gonzales. It looks like Khali will never be in another PPV main event or feature match. He will just continue to get jobbed out to midcarders for the rest of his career.

We can hope not, it's a stupid match type. I wouldn't call Khali the flop Gonzalez is though, he tends to get a decent reaction now that he's not at the top of the card, and he fills a role decently.

Yeah, I don't think Khali's a flop. He has an odd sort of charisma that kinda makes up for his immobility. So long as they continue to keep his bits short and sweet, as they have since he has for the past 3 months, I think he's tolerable and his ring work has pickup immensely in the past few years.
But the prison match is undeniably stupid. Any time you need to show a full screen of rules before a match, you can get ready for a confusing, convoluted 20 minutes.

I wouldn't mind a reworked Punjabi Prison match, simply because it looks f***ing cool. That's seriously pretty much the only reason I like it. It just needs less silly rules, and perhaps a different name just to remove the connection to Khali if they want to use it with other people.
Not that that stopped them the first time.

He will just continue to get jobbed out to midcarders for the rest of his career. I've never understood why they just don't release him.... The guy's proven countless times he's just a terrible wrestler. And he's not insanely popular or anything. Are they just fearing the inevitable terrible PR in India??

Well, part of it is his popularity there, but I think also he's good to have around since he's a fairly credible threat if they want to throw him at somebody for them to face. That, and they probably don't mind helping his charity work.

The guy's proven countless times he's just a terrible wrestler. And he's not insanely popular or anything. Are they just fearing the inevitable terrible PR in India?? In india he is huge. The PR would be horrible against the WWE if they released him. He is there what Mysterio does for the mexican on Smackdown. Khali is there because of his size. He not Giant Gonzales like flop at all. Being that Khali been around for Four years compared to Gonzales not even one year. Khali is also a former World Champion. Gonzales is not. His problem that he moves like tree. Which because of his size I don't expect much. He basicly there because his PR with India and his size for attraction.
