I think the question you want to ask is "Could WWE have done a better job booking?" Obviously not. And why not?

The selling of that chair shot when he was cuffed to the ring post made me laugh out loud.
Orton messed up the chair shot so it looked really obvious that he missed him. Therefore when Cena reacted by doing that weird scream it was very funny.

Sidenote, Cena's selling is one of my issues with him. Not just his comeback no-selling at times (although that's the big issue) I just don't like the way he sells in general.
Anyway, I just watched this match (sort of, I drifted out a lot) and disliked it. Like was discussed upthread I think I got the intention of Cena's inflection and such but it didn't play all that well. Can we just kill this program already please? It's so uninspiring I can barely type sentences about it. If we have to take some combination of Raw Bores I'll take Heel 'Tista and Cena. That'd be pretty fresh.

I thought the selling was pretty good, for a regular match. But dude was being tortured like Mel Gibson at the end of Braveheart. Come to think of it, I would have marked if Orton would have had Cena in a submission hold and the referee would have said, "Silence! I believe the challenger wishes to speak," and held the microphone up to him. FREEEEEEEEEEEDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!!!

I think his comeback where he pummelled Orton and just finished him off in quick succession was awful.
