Wasn't that figure four leg lock thing a patented hold by Bret Hart? I'm thinking it was a small reference.

Ya know one thing I'm surprised hasn't come up in this thread yet?
That thing that could only be described as the Walls of Steiner. That ruled.

At about 2:30 or so Bret locks it on a young Rock here. And here's Kennedy doing it in a moment I had completely forgotten until now.

I honestly think they should have tied at Breaking Point, by having a member of each team tap out at the same time, then Legacy getting the win at Hell in a Cell. Like Legacy was growing up. First they lose, then they begin to get better and tie with them, and then finally get the win where it matters the most (Kayfabe-wise)

I think Bret was the one who used it first. Anyways i wouldn't have changed a thing about the finish- it was great. Triple H sold that beatdown like it damn well crippled him, HBK tapped out in Montreal(!) and Legacy are FINALLY being started to be taken seriously as a threat.

Shawn Michaels is really helping to elevate Rhodes and DiBiase and i was really happy with that ending. Until son-in law does a clean job himself where he doesn't ooh and aww, I'm giving full credit to Michaels here. I get your point but the way i see it, Triple H sold the beating that Rhodes and DiBiase gave him very well and didn't just hulk up out of nowhere to get the win. I think it's important to point that out.

I loved the ending and the match in general, I think it may have been the match of the night. Really elevated Legacy imo.

I know Hart did it more than a few times in the late 90s. I haven't seen too many other people use it.

It was awesome. Everything I could have hoped for - cool spots, backstage brawling, and a Legacy win.

So let me get this straight?
Legacy beat the crap out Triple H? Yet he's not putting them over?

Entertained me far more than I was expecting, as I wasn't at all interested before the show.
I can only hope Legacy continue to look this strong, and not like complete muppets when DX get their revenge or whenever they next need to be squashed in Randy's latest angle. This progress can easily be undone, but they sure did it right on this night. Kudos to WWE.

I'm hoping the result leads to Rhodes and DiBiase gloating at Orton that they WON their match, while he didn't.
...and to end the whole main feud, at Hell in a Cell...Cena and DX vs. Orton, Rhodes and DiBiase in a Cell.

Apparently Shawn vs. DiBiase has been signed for Raw tonight. Here's their chance to keep them looking strong coming out of BP.

I think they'll do separate matches, with Cena against Orton and DX against Legacy. Hmm, actually, a thought... If Cena / Orton get the regular cell, and DX and Legacy get a tag-team one, could finally bust out the Armageddon one again for SmackDown. Throw in Punk, Taker, Matt, Morrison, Ziggler, and Mysterio and you have about the only way that Punk's leaving that match as champ.
