It will never happen due to Hornswoogle's being over with TEH KIDDIES but if it did, it could work very well and get positive attention on WWE.
So Hornswoggle comes out one night to team with Evan Bourne against JeriShow. In a pre-match promo, Evan talks about how he and "The Little Guy" are gonna win, mentioning the "Pot O' Gold" and the luck of the Irish. Midway through the match, Horny gets tagged in, and he runs and hits Bourne with a shilelagh, sending him off the apron and getting disqualified. The next week, an Interviewer, let's say Todd Grisham(I know he's on SmackDown, but he'd work well hypothetically), advertises a sit-down interview with Hornswoggle to explain his actions. Hornswoggle appears in full attire, but with his jacket buttoned up, and when asked by Grisham why he did what he did, says that he's fed up of being treated like a "Little Guy" when he's actually a talented wrestler, and how he doesn't want to be a "Leprechaun" any more, and that it's an unfair stereotype. He then takes his jacket off, throws his hat down, and takes some tissue out of his pocket, wiping the dirt from his face with it. He renounces his name, saying that he wants to be known as Dylan Postl from now on. He then becomes a heel, treated, although as an obvous underdog, like other wrestlers. He gains a shot at the Untied States Championship to prove himself, and wins somehow. Over this time, he goes slowly from heel to face, changing from insulting the fans for wanting to see a leprechaun ("They aren't real, damnit!") to pleading with them to show him respect, and finally gaining it after defeating a heel US Champion (Swagger?) and having his moment of glory.
Imagine how good the press for WWE would be, too! Treating small people equally to the musclemen. I think it could be awesome if handled right. What do you think?
