You can see Steve Austin, who plays a villain in the new Sly Stallone movie 'The Expendables' in this newly released bootleg trailer. Could this be Stone Cold's big break as an action movie star? Sure he's had a few direct to DVD movies, but actually being in a HUGE movie in the cinema could make his career, post wrestling. I expected The Rock to go on to be a big action star, but he doesnt seem to want to do that. So maybe instead, Austin can be the next Stallone/Schwarzenegger. www.youtube.com/watch?v=uGh_RhtTS2Q

EDIT: Until I realised that Jason Statham is in this movie. Oh.

When it was doing "STALLONE STATHAM LI...." I was really hoping to see "AUSTIN" with some glass breaking or something. But yeah, I've been amped for this flick for a while.

Just for the record this movie has Stallone, Statham, Li, Lundgren, Rourke, Austin, Crews, Couture... with Willis and Schwarzenegger cameoing...

True Charisma Carpenter is gorgeous. And the brazillian actress in that trailer is also hot

Can not wait for this, it's like a 90's action movie junkie's wet dream. All that is missing is Steven Segal and JCVD (Who WERE going to be in this but opted out).

Despite the awesomeness of these names all being together like this, it still kinda stings to know Van Damme turned down a role... Though I didn't know Willis was in it. That just adds to the awesome.

I have to admit from the ones I have seen that go straight to DVD they are actually pretty good and I think the only reason they don't make theaters is because he is in it.

Who cares about all those guys? This movie is going to have Aaron "Jesus" Aguilera in it.

What on earth does Van Damme have lined up that he could afford to turn down a big-screen movie role?
Segal has that show on A&E so I kinda get it.
Either way, this is THE most bad-ass lineup since The Magnificent Seven.

The Condemned was in theaters, and he was the star of that so I don't think the Expendables is gonna be any sorta launching pad for him, but this looks like a lot more fun movie, and has a lot of legit action stars to carry the load, so that could help him.

It was only in a limited number of theatres. It wasnt in theatres over here (In England). It was only an average action movie, with an unoriginal concept stolen from Battle Royale and The Running Man. It had unknown actors and an unknown director. I think The Expendables will probably do quite a bit more for his career than The Condemned.

What on earth does Van Damme have lined up that he could afford to turn down a big-screen movie role? Van Damme has been doing a lot of straight-to-DVD work, which has made him a lot of money. I understand not wanting to get away from that.

Who says he'd have to give it up cold turkey, though? If nothing else, The Expendables would be a decent payday for him, and then he could go back to doing straight-to-DVD fare if he wanted to.
At least until 80s-90s action movie junkies like myself demand his return to the silver screen. ;D

I think Van Damme said he didn't want to do this movie because he wants to take his career in a new direction. He was absolutely brilliant in JCVD from what I'm told, so here's hoping he manages to re-invent himself.

It had unknown actors and an unknown director. Vinnie Jones isn't an unknown actor.

Lord Knows we need a JCVD/Segal team buddy cop duo in the next Tarantino movie, don't say you don't want it. Also I am really hyped for this movie, if it's 1/4 as violent as Rambo IV, then I'm all for it.
