What was the best build up to a World Title Match in TNA history?
Was it the build up to Raven vs Jarrett, which had the most buys of any of the weekly pay per views
or
Was it Joe putting his career against Angle's belt in a cage, which had the most buys (or second most buys) in TNA history period.
It's funny I just watched Raven-Jarrett, it was a good match, despite no less then 14 people (13 men and a sexy little slutty looking woman named Alexis Laree) running in and they couldn't get Jarrett's handcuffs off.
Angle-Joe with the MMA style match could have been a failure, but it was an excellent match.

Yeah, Raven v Jarrett was built brilliantly. The very first PPV to air here was Raven's debut. The only problem was the result.

Man, I've been on a selling rant like crazy, I think I've been going too much though.
But Jeff Jarrett had something the fans wanted to see, and blew it. This is the reason the Sandman has gone on record saying he hates Jeff Jarrett, the finish to that angle.

This is the reason the Sandman has gone on record saying he hates Jeff Jarrett, the finish to that angle. Nothing to do with the fact that he had to job to Iceberg, the Harris Brothers, Kevin Northcutt, Julio Dinero and co?

Joe vs. Angle build sucked, the match was also mediocre. I thought the finish was good, but that MMA stuff at the beginning BARF
THe best build up was RAven's win and Christian's big title win.
I think the biggest waste of a build was Joe/Jarrett, that should have main evented BFG with Joe finally winning the belt.

Raven came into the company after Jarrett had a successful title defense against Christopher Daniels, attack Double J and stole the belt.
Raven demanded to be the Number 1 contender, but was turned down saying he had to beat some of the other stars in TNA. This led to excellent matches with both The Sandman and A.J. Styles, which led to him being the Number 1 Contender.
Raven formed The Gathering, a stable that included Julio Dinero and the aforementioned Alexis (and later C.M. Punk). This led to various pull aparts and three on one beatdowns and just general chaos, which all led into Raven's title shot on April 30.

Raven's TNA "Best of" DVD does a pretty awesome job of building up that whole storyline. I didn't get to originally see it, but from the matches on the DVD, I like that one best.
