H'Whah?
Well, this is weird. There's even an edited version of Byte This up now, which means they must have cut something out. Anyone know what Striker said?
Plus, if Striker gets in hot water for doing the only hook that he's got (other than the lying teacher angle), he's doesn't have much of a chance, if you ask me.

Striker was asked what made him so big (in the Waryah character), and replied "Steroids. Lots of Steroids"
Vince, understandably, isn't too stoked about that

Ah. I see.
Pretty funny that Vince lets all this stuff go, but as soon as someone mentions juicing, they hit the skids.

I'm sure they would have done the same if the illegal drug was not steroids and instead coke, crack, etc. Warrior can easily sue the wwe for defamation with a comment like that.

But isn't it a well known fact that Warrior took steroids? Where would be the defemation in something which is already acknowledged as a fact?

He's already admitted on record to doing them, so there would be no case there.
What WOULD look bad is for a WWE programme to admit that a former WWE Champion took steroids while he was WWE Champion. Which is probably why it was edited.
Really, it's at least partially Grisham's fault for asking the "how did you get so big?" question. I mean, what's the OBVIOUS response when you're pretending to be the Ultimate Warrior and you're asked that?

I still feel it was done to curb a potential lawsuit. I'm sure the wwe didn't have time to recall whether warrior might've gone on record and admitted using steroids in the past, i'm sure they acted on instincts. I believe warrior pleaded the fifth when he was asked if he had used steroids during the mcmahon steroids trial.
But look who's doing the admission. I doubt the viewers at home believed striker was actually the warrior. So what did he really admit.
I will say that i do believe your partially right. The wwe doesn't want the word steroids anywhere near their programs. I know you didn't say those exact words, but i assume that's what you meant.

Yeah, I know it wasn't Warrior admitting he took steroids on Byte This!, but by way of it being on a WWE show, it was WWE admitting that Warrior, a multiple-time titleholder in their federation, took steroids. Which is obviously a blunder, because WWE wouldn't want to admit (officially) that any of their stars, ever, took steroids, which was your point anyway Shac.
That said, Randy Savage DID admit in a shoot interview in WWF Magazine (Vince Russo, of all people, was doing the interview) that he used steroids *when they were legal*. So it's perfectly possible that they made the cut to avoid a lawsuit with Woyyah, as it would have been one of those cases where, in terms of public relations, everyone would have lost.
While you're right to say that WWE probably weren't checking for potential lawsuits before an apparently improvised BT!, I'm sure over the last few days that I read that Warrior admitted steroid usage in a shoot interview.

I believe warrior pleaded the fifth when he was asked if he had used steroids during the mcmahon steroids trial. Warrior did admit, himself, that he did Steroids in an interview (I think it was the C-Span one, where he ended up looking so totally coked up out of his mind, that many people dismiss this interview as valid). However, the WWE is aware that THEMSELVES acknowledging that Woyyah took steroids is pretty much asking for a Steroid Trial Part 2.

This was butt-covering, plain and simple. You know that Captain Crackhead will have some spittle-flecked rant hitting his site soon about this.
I fixed the title for ya.

I would have loved for him to have started rambling on about Destructity, but it would have gone over a lot of viewers heads, I think. (Not ours, of course.)
Too much of an inside joke.

I don't think Striker is 'taking heat' for this at all. Todd was egging him on, and you can't really blame him either. Afterall, Warrior thinks Todd Grisham don't make the world work.

If there was any justice in the world, McMahon would have Striker do his impersonation (among other wrestlers) since it's about the only thing he has going for him right now

Well if Vince can put blame of Marc Copani for the controversy that Muhammad Hassan caused, I can see Vince blaming Matt Striker for this.... even though it was undoubtedly a WWE official who set up the whole thing in the first place!

Striker does have a level of charisma that should be put to good use, but I wouldn't say that this is all he has going for him.

I don't think Striker is in as much trouble as everyone thinks. If he was, we might be hearing it on different internet sites, and not on wwe.com.
I think Vince might be a little mad, but would understand that they were not only parodying the warrior, but mocking him as well. I mean, Grisham did make a good point about how he was still a little hot from him being called a queer and Droz being called a cripple. I don't think this will effect Striker in any way.

Considering Vince was on trial for 'roids, the 'S' word must be a no-no around the WWE.
It was just a stupid thing to say.
