Faces need to be a *little* generic so that their appeal as a face stays broad, at least while in the midcard. By being generic, the faces makes the heels' eccentricities stand out more. A face is someone we care about because he DOESN'T do the things we notice in a bad way. Kofi is charismatic in his body language and is exciting to watch. Any heel simply has to try to stop him from being either, and he can get his heat. Think about the term "babyface." A baby looks adorable to those who love him, but everyone else (the heels) say, meh, he looks like a potato/what a loser.

I'd rather see a Ghanian gimmick than a Jamaican gimmick. He could be a heel and rant about how Ghana is the best and most stable African country and how it is much better than the US. I guess that's better than claiming to be Nigerian and winning the title through internet fraud. I'd mark hard for that scenario.

He really doesn't want the WWE allowing him to be portrayed as Ghanaian. Guaranteed he'll be carrying a spear and wearing a fancy headdress within a month of it happening.

That might be one of the best things I've ever read, and it needs to be someone's catch phrase. Like, if Kofi ever turns heel, he needs to say "And you look like a potato!" in his Jamaican accent.
