I remember in 2000 when the Radicalz left WCW for WWE, originally there was supposed to be a BUNCH of people that left, but they didn't for various reasons.
Who else was gonna leave? I recall hearing Shane was going to and had heat with the rest of them for leaving. Also about Billy Kidman staying because they promised him a push. Who else?

I doubt Shane Douglas would have left anyway, it's not as though the WWE was going to bring him in with the rest of them. As he has "heatz" with Vince and company.

Yeah, there's no way Douglas would have been brought in. He burned that bridge to ashes.

I believe in addition to the 4 Radicalz, it was Shane Douglas, Konnan, Billy Kidman, and possibly Rey Mysterio that were prepared to walk out.

Yeah, there's no way Douglas would have been brought in. He burned that bridge to ashes. This is the same company who hired Eric Bischoff after years of having them on the ropes and kicking their ass. If Vince felt Shane Douglas could be a nice contribution to his company he would rebuild that bridge it a heartbeat. I don't think Vince saw much in Shane though.

That's what I ment though in terms of him ever going, he had not only burned bridges but also wasn't exactly on the level of Benoit, Guerrero, Malenko and Saturn wrestling wise. The only thing he was really better at then all of them was his mic work.

I think it's the matter in how Douglas left, same with Konnan. It wasn't just that the burnt their bridges, but they were bitter about leaving.

WWF wanted Konnan to pay them back a million bucks for the Max Moon suit or something.

wasnt raven also on the verge of walking out with the radicalz? Raven was already long gone by then. Eric Bishoff got a group together and told them that if they were unhappy with the company, they were free to go. Raven was the only one to take him up on the offer.

Yeah, that was when he made his ECW comeback and won the tag belts with Dreamer from the Dudleys on their last night there.

Raven's leaving WCW was one of those awesome few moments in that era where I had gone without the internet a few days for some baseball tournament or something, and was watching ECW on TNN and got totally surprised by the whole thing.
The other being Warrior's WCW debut.

I can't remember the story, but my mind's powerful memory bank (What did I have for breakfast? What? It's 5:30? Holy crap!) tells me that Konnan expected TNA to pay for it since he worked for them and instead they refused and basically let him go. There was almost a lawsuit ("Shockingly," Konnan played the race card...), but it fell apart.

Eddie said in his book that if Eric wasn't gone he would never have left due to loyalty over the way Eric treated him when he had his car accident.
Honestly I think the Internet has ruined us as wrestling fans and I don't know if it's a good thing or a bad thing. Before I had the Internet in 2003 I was usually genuinely surprised when something like this went down. Now I look back at the last 6 years and realize how many huge moments have been "ruined" for me because I knew about them ahead of time.

Well considering that wrestling has been on a downswing for the last six years I don't think there has been too many big things happening backstage except for Angle joining TNA which TNA kept underwraps very well.
