Why not? Mic skills aren't nearly as needed as everyone makes it sound.
Better question - after the end of the year, how long is it 'til Cena crushes Swagger?

I rarely watch Raw but going by his ECW days I'd say yeah.

I'm gonna say he quits and goes to MMA before then.

Yes.
I think his mic skills are fine and the lisp adds character. He's got the skills, and the WWE seems high on him. This 'undefeated until the end of the year' deal can help elevate him.

He's a great talent, so he should. And he's been better on the stick, so hopefully he improves.
Then again, he has a lot of years ahead of him, and who knows what the future might hold.

All depends on whether he goes to Smackdown or not. On Raw all midcarders are screwed from moving to the top

It'll be fantastic when he does. I wonder how this self declared streak will go.

Cena: I don't think so, chum. *with that said, Cena rushes down to the ring with a ref, bell rings, Cena does the 5 MOD and Swagger taps to the STF in 2 seconds without even trying to reach for the ropes* ... I'd mark.

Swagger is one of the guys that really makes me wish managers were still used effectively in WWE. Not just because his mic skills aren't the greatest, but because I feel like having a good manager would actually add to his "aura" and help make him more interesting. He's the kind of guy that I'd love to give one of the Executive Consultant type managers. He's not one of the kind of guys that I can see just getting along by not doing much on the stick, his character seems like somebody that should talk, so a manager to do a large chunk of that for him and add a dimension to his character would be a good move.
Bring JBL back as his mouthpiece/financially backing his quest all the way to the top. I'd settle for some alternatives.
Anyway, I think he will. Time is on his side and eventually space will open up at the top.

Once there's room at the top, he should make it. Right now there isn't cause guys like HHH, Cena & Orton aren't done boring us and, like the other great prospects, he's gonna have to wait until "the usual suspects" lift the glass ceiling above them.
What I'm trying to say, Swagger totally has what it takes but he can only go so far in the WWE right now. God, that reminds me so much of this company based in Atlanta that had lots of talent themselves but, somehow, it didn't work out. Hmmm.

Yeah he has the goods to pull it off.
Just not right now. And I mean not right now like not for the next three years. At least.

A "mad scientist" manager, with Jack Swagger as Mr. Hyde ...perhaps this generation's Missing Link? R.I.P. Dewey "Missing Link" Robertson
