Just heard the news on TV.
Wasn't a fan, but still saddened by his death.
Rest in Peace...

Didn't he just write a blog about wrestling in Japan? This sucks so much. I was never a huge Test fan but I always appreciated his work. At this time I have different memories running through my head. From being one half of "T&A", to wrestling Shane McMahon at Summerslam 1999, to wrestling with Scott Steiner in 2002, to getting married to Steph and his most recent work with ECW. R.I.P. Andrew.

this upsets me, anyone know the cause of death? probably won't be known for a while, ad the news seemed to make it clear that it wasn't foul play. Hence it'll be up to the toxicology reports, which can take a while.

This is insane. Do we know what caused it? If I was to bet on any one thing, it'd be steroids/heart attack. People just don't drop dead at 33 from natural causes and he's been a known user. In fact, the name "Test" is short for Testosterone and that name was given to him by Russo in early 1999. However he died, it's still sad that he's gone. No, Test was given that name for being a Motley Crue roadie and that he would "Test" the microphones. It wasn't short for Testosterone.

I won't lie and say he was one of the all-time greats, but he was enjoyable for what he was: his big boot is one of the most dangerous things I've ever seen.
Plus, he had awesome theme music.
Rest in Peace, Test.

Since it's come up a few times, can people leave out Jericho/Kelly Kelly rumors? It has nothing to do with this, and it's nothing more than a rumor. This is about Test, not ex girlfriends. You might as well be rambling about Stacy Kiebler appearing on Dancing with the Stars. Worthless information. What...Jericho is married and has three kids. I hope the Press don't start blaming this on steroids.

Having worked as an obit writer for a newspaper I can say that yes, yes people do drop dead at 33 from perfectly natural causes. People can drop dead at any age from natural causes. That doesn't mean Test's case wasn't drug use or anything related to it, just that it's not outside the realm of possibility that there was something else.

Some people are ridiculously over the top with this... It shocks me some people can act so sad in here, yet probably didn't care for the wrestler or the man. I'm not being distasteful, but I'm sad because I don't like to see ANYONE die. Some people who seem to be crying need to accept this for what it is, because they'd have the same emotion for a LOT of wrestlers.
I was a fan of Test 5 years ago, it is so sad that unfortunately he has passed away, but I'm not in tears. I'm not gonna say I'm crying over this when I'm not. I'm not gonna let myself get too over-emotional about a wrestler out of the spotlight that I wasn't a fan of in the last few years.
Andrew Martin seemed like a likeable man, and his last blog he said a LOT of nice things about people and people pulled him on his spelling and his grammar and whatever, and now he has died they're all sad. Be sad, but don't be so over the top. He was a big man and seemed to be a nice person and for that I am sad, but I won't cry myself to sleep because of this.
a LOT of test fans came out over the last few days huh?

Do you really think this roadie just had magic wrestling abilities? He was Martin Kane and T.J. Thunder in the indies. He met Bret Hart in a restaurant in 97 He was then trained by Bret and Leo Burke before debuting in the wwe in 1998

First of all Test was a BODYGUARD for Motley Crue....(which was a work)....but he wasn't a roadie. And even Test had come out on TV (I remember him even being on The New Tom Green Show) and saying Test was indeed short for Testosterone

Do you really think this roadie just had magic wrestling abilities? well of course not, I wasnt watching wrestling yet and had just heard it mentioned here and on WCR, I just thought that like, he was a roadie and then trained..or trained whilst roadie-ing...or something. i didnt know that was his gimmick.

In Kayfabe it was because he was teamed with The Rock to face HHH. The Rock said HHH couldn't "pass the test". In Shoot Interviews Andrew Martin himself has stated his name is short for Testosterone.
