Theres only like 2 teams for Gawds sake! Come to think of it, why is there a Cruiser weight belt if they never show it on tv.

Tag belts? Because there always has been them, so they'll always be in around in some form or another.
CW? I dunno......because they have a couple CW on the roster and they certainly won't be pushed to the Main Event, so they might as well have some belt to win.

Tag team titles is like our appendix, it's there for no reason, but once it's not there, we start wondering if we really need it.

Here's a noodletinkler....
Why did Lance Cade buy a new belt when he just won the tag title belts? That should keep folks thinking for a good thirteen seconds.

Speaking of the new tag champs, there is something that has really bothered me. I recognize Garrison Cade, but Mark Jindrak has REALLY let himself go!
(Don't worry, I'm just joking.)

The one thing I hate about the current wrestling scene is the lack of interest in the tag team division. The WWE puts so little effort into it, so why should the fans care? The best thing in the world for the tag team division would be jobber matches. Because they rarely have jobbers on Raw or Smackdown, the teams of name wrestlers that lose regularly become the jobbers. If they could use jobber matches for teams like the Hearthrobs and Cade and Murdoch to showcase their ability and tag team finisher, it would build anticipation for when two good teams finally do meet. Think about Cade and Murdoch....their first match was with the tag champs (which they won) and their second match was with the tag champs (which they also won, this time for the belts). I know a lot of people don't like jobber matches, but I would've loved to have seen a few weeks of squash matches so we can get an idea of how they fight, what's their finisher, etc. Instead Hurricane and Rosey became the jobbers to get Cade and Murdoch over. I don't think anyone cared about their match at the pay-per-view because was there any doubt the belts would change hand? I would've liked to have seen Cade and Murdoch win a couple squash matches, and then in a later match where Hurricane and Rosey were in the process of winning a squash match, have them attacked. Start a feud and let it build over the course of a month or two. They have plenty of wrestlers who could be thrown into cohesive tag teams, and with a few squash wins, considered a viable threat for the championships. Of course this would mean the WWE would have to allocate more than 5 minutes a week for the tag team division on Raw. Not likely.

I predict the end of the cruiserweight division when Velocity is cancelled. They'll still keep gys like Rey Mysterio and Scotty 2 Hotty, but the belt will be retired.

I agree with Dynamic Dude. However, no one really wants to go out and be the next Midnight Express and Rock-n-Roll Express either. All we get is Heidenreich wanting to be a member of the Road Warriors. You need more emphasis and stability in tha tag team division. Maybe Rick Morton, Robert Gipson, Stan Lane, Steve Keirn, Bobbby Eaton and Dennis Coundrey can have a "Tag Team Camp" for WWE wrestlers to attend and learn the art of tag team wrestling. Invite Michael Hayes to be an instructor too.

Think about Cade and Murdoch....their first match was with the tag champs (which they won) and their second match was with the tag champs (which they also won, this time for the belts). Their second match was vs. Tajiri and Eugene on the RAW before Unforgiven.

For that matter, why have a women's belt in a devision of 2 wrestlers?

I stand corrected. But now we have a second team of name wrestlers, who have become jobbers and who's only purpose would be to get over either the tag champs, or the team who will soon be tag champs. There definitely is a lost art of tag team wrestling that needs to be rediscovered. And not just the way a match itself happens, but the way an angle and tag team feud is properly built up.

WWE really dropped the ball with the Heart Throbs. Here was a tag team who debuted, and had lots of people talking the next day. They had a classic gimmick (the pretty boys) but with a new twist (the whole Chippendale duo dancing thing). Plus, the two guys clearly have lots of personality. So within 4 weeks, we never hear from them again (except for the occasional Heat match). And now, they're all but gone.

Well, there could be all sorts of stuff brewing in the tag division(s). For now, they're both considered pretty dead, but they could easily be sparked. Doesn't it usually have high and low activity points? (Although, it's current low point has been going on for a while.)
Regal and Burchill. They could probably jolt the SD! division back to life. I just don't want to see anymore MNM-LOD2k5 matches.
As for Raw, they need a tag team with star power. Michaels, if he isn't doing anything after this nonsense Masters program could probably take sides with anyone and bring some life back until actual tag teams are brought back. Or, even Masters/Carlito, if someone's willing to stretch it.
But for the meantime, they're stagnant, and have no purpose. You're absolutely right.

I really think that with the weekend shows ending that they should put those guys all in the tag division. No one wants to be the new RnR Express, but I imagine they would rather do that them go back to the indys. I say that because I don't think that TNA has any more room in it roster.

The problem with tag teams in the WWE is they're split way too early. Worlds Greatest Tag Team, Bashams, La Resistance were all fine as tag teams. Now they're split and only Shelton Benjamin is worth watching.
Edge and Christian and the Hardy Buys were together for about 3-4 years before they split. But these days WWE is so impacient to wait for these guys to develop.
