So was World Class an NWA affiliate at that time, and when did they split off?

The "story" goes: World Class was getting tired of Ric Flair retaining his NWA belt by throwing his opponents over the top rope intentionally; thus gaining a DQ loss but keeping his title.
World Class split to become its own entity and installing a DQ clause where belts can change hands on DQs. As far as I know, it's only resulted in a title which changed hands one time, and I forget if it was the TV belt or the Texas title.
Back around that time, I had the wrestling figures working on a DQ rule like that, but they would get 3 chances a month. The bad guy champion would start the month out with two quick DQs, then actually have to show a little skill (or a lot of sneaky cheap shots) to keep his belt the rest of the month. (Also recall that all champions had to defend their titles at least once a week in this league.)
