I WAS THERE! As we mentioned in this thread, this was when I was a mark. I got a leaflet when I went to the dentist, I had 4 fillings that day. The dentist appointment was better than the show

I like the Guvnor, he's a good guy, and as JS2 says, he's booking for t'kids. Yeah. He's a great guy, thanks to him we're going to Manchester Mania now! This event is different to the usual routine, it goes for anywhere between 3 - 4 1/2 hours! And last year, they got 3,066 in attendance! Not bad for an indy...

Both Stryker and Reggie have said in this thread that Celtic Wrestling have gone under, and, well, it's not true.
Their main venue in Merthyr is no longer available but they're defintely still running.
Saw them in Aberfan last month and they've a show in Canton Community Hall, Cardiff tonight (complete with Kevin Thorne whose planned booking for Wrestle-Midlands went south on him)
Not sure if they've picked up another Merthyr venue yet, but they run Cardiff, Aberfan and Fochriw regularly and run training sessions weekly in Cardiff

really? it's still kinda crap that they don't run merthyr since that was the only venue i could really get to, and that town needs SOMETHING to stop it being to most depressing place on earth, but still, they're a good group, so it's great to know they're still going.

There was a charity show run by one of their roster a coupla weeks ago in Merthyr that went well, hopefully that might lead into them getting a venue.
Studio Bar wasn't great once they put the bowling in anyway.

I used to be a regular at SWA and PBW, with the odd BCW or ICW show thrown in. I only went to 2 shows last year, and I've lost interest in wrestling. I used to be pretty well versed on the Scottish scene and any well known or up and coming Brits, but now I'm completely out the loop.
