Favorite version of the horsemen excluding the original and after they replaced Ole with Barry Windahm.
Mine favorite was Ric Flair, Arn Anderson, Chris Benoit, and Steve McMichaels
This was when I started watching wrestling so I have a lot of nostalgia for this version of the Horsemen. I started watching in 96 so they had just formed this version I believe. I loved the angle they did with Jarret.

Yup, the above poster has the best lineup of Horsemen, Flair, Arn anderson, Tully Blanchard and Barry Windham. All four of them were very creidble wrestlers and you could stick all four in various tag combinations and it would have worked.

Definitely the Ric Flair, Arn Anderson, Flyin' Brian, Chris Benoit combo, wish Pillman had stayed and let that version of the Horseman play out

It's a toss-up.
Flair/Anderson/Pillman/Benoit Flair/Anderson/Benoit/Malenko
Wasn't there a Flair/Anderson/Sid/Windham combo at one point, too? If there was, make it a three-way tie. If there wasn't, I'm crazy.

The answers in this thread prove that people don't always read the OP.

The answers in this thread prove that people don't always read the OP. Well, most people tend to ignore something like that when it limits the answers. Suppose you didn't like any other version? Either that or people just stopped reading after "What's you favorite version of the Horsemen?". Anyway, historically I would say that the Flair/Anderson/Blanchard/Windham/Dillon version was probably the best in terms of overall impact and importance. However, everything I know about them I've seen and learned in my later years since I didn't get to see WCW regularily until about mid 1995. Before that it was strictly WWF for this little Maniac(not Hulkamaniac mind you, Macho Maniac was more appropriate for me). As far as the versions I got to see, even though I saw some WCW programming in 1995, it wasn't until 96 that I became a regular viewer, and therefore by default the version with Benoit and Mongo was the one I remember best. (On a side note, Mongo may have been crazy on the microphone and a bit awkward in the ring, but I thought he was entertaining. And he was a good counter point to the other members, providing the muscle for the team.) I can't really count any incarnations after Arn retired, since without the one-two punch of Flair and Anderson it just wasn't the Horsemen. Most of the other players were interchangable, but the Horsemen without Ric and Arn is like nWo without at least two of the three original players, Hogan, Hall, and Nash. It just wasn't the same (just look at Stevie Ray and his nWo black and white offshoot or Jeff Jarret's nWo in 2000). Edit: I've since learned that Scott Hall was a part of nWo 2000...that shows how memorable that stint was.

Flair, HHH, Orton, & Batista.... haha,
I have a fondness for the Malenko, Benoit incarnation as I was about to actually watch them live week in, week out.

The answers in this thread prove that people don't always read the OP. Well,i couldn't answer the original form of the question because after my favorite version of the stable it seems like they let anyone join.
