Which wrestlers did you think were a mismatch for a stable they were in?
Paul Roma in The Four Horsemen - Probably one of the first names that would be mentioned in this thread, so I'll get it out of the way now. There have been many incarnations of the Four Horsemen, the original being Ric Flair, Arn and Ole Anderson, and Tully Blanchard. While many have been associated with the group and have had previous or future success, Paul Roma was a no-name jobber. He was best known for The Young Stallions and Power and Glory, both underachieving tag teams. Sure, Mongo might've not been a good fit, but at least he served as a somewhat credible threat to the mid card(former US champion),
Owen Hart in The Nation - Yes, he was a Black Hart, but it defeated the purpose of his "lone wolf" status, plus, the group went from Military to Hip. The only sense I made out of it was him needing allies to take on DX, which he was in the middle of a feud with(primarilly Triple H). He later distanced himself from the group.
Manu in Legacy - Okay, not to sound racist, but WWE has made us fans way too accomstomed to how fat Samoans should be booked. Okay, thats a minor reason compared to my next point. While Cody Rhodes and Ted Dibiase Jr. are still vanilla, at least they have their fathers legacies to back them up(I say, don't judge them until they reach their 30s). I mean, Dusty Rhodes and Ted Dibiase Sr. are well known legends to the casual fans, and while Afa is in the Hall of Fame(along with his tag partner Sika), he is just a tag team specialist. How are you suppose to get family recognition when your father isn't known to todays fans?
Albert in X-factor - I don't need a long drawn-out explanation for this, it just seemed weird to me.
Anybody you can think of?

Booker T. in the NWO 2002.
Or Ric Flair in that same group.

I liked Owen in the Nation. It worked because it didn't really make sense, but at the same time it did, and Owen was able to make it work. It made about as much sense as him aligning himself with Yokozuna. Instead of finding one really big tough guy to back him up, he found a bunch of more average sized big guys to back him up.
I agree, Sting in the nWo didn't work once the Crow gimmick started. It would've been the equivalent, pretty much, of a tweener/face "Stone Cold" joining DX or leading DOA or something.
I also never cared for Angle in the short lived "Team RECK". I mean, an Olympic Gold Medalist with three Canadians?
Same with Pillman in the Hart Foundation, as well. I think it might've worked, and likely was the original plan, for him to turn face eventually. I mean, he was "The Loose Cannon" and an American... even if he did train in the Dungeon, not like Austin or whatever logic you wanna use.
Roma in the Horsemen, definitely.

Also fans know guys like the Rock are connected to them. the Corporate Ministry was full of guys who didn't belong. Either everyone who was in the Corporation or everyone who was in the Ministry. The two factions simply didn't mesh.

The Wild Samoans certainly don't rank up there with The Road Warriors, Demoliton, The Rockers, The Dudleys, Hardys, E&C, New Age Outlaws, Harlem Heat, hell, even Too Cool is better known then them. But I might have to excuse them since they were around before The National Expansion, the avegage fans' WWF/E mindset dosen't go back before the 80s. I'll take Rikishi and Rosey as exceptions, but Manu still didn't fit in there BECAUSE of the his father's (lack of) recognition. I think the problem with the Wolfpack was, even though they were popular at the time, they were still called the nWo. If they were just called The Wolfpack, I wouldn't see the problem. Sting joining them didn't make sense for two reasons 1)His character was a loner and 2)His purpose was to take down the nWo. I just didn't get it. Ahmed Johnson feuding with The Nation, then joining them, then getting kicked out was stupid and pointless.

Because whenever a Samoan is on TV it seems they talk about Afa and Sika at least briefly.

Well considering they watched mostly in the Attitude Era(and once in a blue moon after that), the only Samoans they would be familar with would be Rikishi and The Rock. I doubt ANYBODY can recall JR or Jerry Lawler referencing their family(The Rock in the very beginning of his career).

A right answer is Kip James in any stable.
However, a wrong answer is Mickie James.

Dusty Rhodes in the NWO.
The NWO should not have expanded beyond at least half dozen members, maybe even less.

Sting in NWO red and black was just dumb and never ever explained except that he joined because Luger joined which was also very stupid.
Like someone said earlier if the stable had just been called The Wolfpack and they had been tweeners I wouldn't have minded red and black but sting and luger still didn't belong.

Sting in any stable never really works. Least we not forget his brief tenure in the Four Horsemen.

I don't understand the "orginal" nWo being kept to minimum numbers thing. They were trying (and succeding) to take over a company.
Thus .....growing larger.
It's fairly logical.

I didn't like when the nWo added non WWF guys. It seemed more like a real invasion before guys like the Giant and Bagwell joined.
