Well it will be cool if Taz is Joe's manager, I'd rather see him replace West.

I knew there was a reason for Joe busting out the Head and Arm Tazplex.
Also now that Joe is hovering around 350 lbs I can buy him as a fat monster

His announcers contract prevents him from appearing on TV for TNA for a certain amount of time despite it expiring.

Taz managing Samoa Joe would kick so much ass.

I said this in the lashley thread and I will repeat. For almost ten years we have had goofy comical Tazz as a color guy. he is over weight and has lost all tough guy image he ever had. This IMO is epic fail Shouldn't you wait to see what they have Taz coming back to do before judging? He's done as a wrestler but he could still contribute to the company.

Why the hell would they not reveal this on the PPV if this is the case? Taz... Philadelphia... nah, lets drag this out until it's painfully obvious then reveal on a random episode of Impact.

Foley was on TV barely four weeks after his WWE contract expired, so it can't be too long...

It could possibly explain why Foley showed up so quickly. He likely didn't have such a clause in his contract, since he was slotted into the announcer spot to fill a vacancy let by Coach. From what I can recall, his WWE contract was as a wrestler with two guaranteed matches per year plus whatever promotional time necessary for those matches.
So it's likely his contract wasn't changed to reflect his announcer position.

This is what WWE should have done years ago. Tazz would make a great manager.
Here is why I think they are doing this. It will give Joe a mouth piece and shut him up. Remember when he first debuted in TNA? He was hella over because he didn't whine and never talked on the mic.
Tazz will make a great manager for Samoa Joe. Their styles are just so similar. This is a great decision by TNA.
One thing I want to see though is why Tazz really left WWE. I mean he said he wanted a rest but that obviously wasn't the case. I'm thinking WWE did something that pissed off Tazz.

If Tazz comes out with a nice orange shirt and black suit and sunglasses and cuts an old school epic Tazz promo talking about how WWE tried to ruin his badass image they will get the attitude that Tazz had back then right back in a heart beat.

But I don't want Taz to burn his bridges and be a douche bag like the Outlaws. I want him to collect his pay day and come back to WWE when he feels he's ready, and burning bridges kinda hurts that.

TNA guys need to keep "WWE" out of their promos. And that doesn't mean they should replace it with "up north," "those other guys," or "Vince McMahon/Stephanie McMahon/HHH/etc." Make your company great by focusing on its strengths, not on the competition's weaknesses. Because someone will always disagree about what is considered a weakness.

I don't see the point to this myself
Okay so Taz can't wrestle so he'll be a mentor/manager to Joe.........Don't think he really needs one myself
