I know we've discussed the best make shift tag teams, but on a somewhat similar, but different note, what were just some of the oddest pairings in wrestling?
I sure as hell don't know how Dastardly Danny Doring, standard "thinks he's sexy" gimmick, and Roadkill the Amish Chicken Plucker ended up as a tag team, and getting over.
Let's not forget Booker T. and Gold dust, I have no idea how those two ended up together, but it worked.
Rock and Sock was pretty ridiculous too. Aside from hating each other months before and nearly killing each other. Here you have this stud of a man, perfect up 'n coming star with all the goods (well on the mike, the in ring talent could be hidden), dressed well, handsome and always talking about how much his stuff costs, and his partner is like this deranged, dumpy, goofy bum-like man.
O yeah, Head Cheese. Does anymore have to be said?

Yokozuna and Owen Hart. Probably my favorite makeshift tag team ever.

Yeah that was the weirdest thing. It was totally out of Nowhere that HBK of all people had pull out of the match the night before, not unlike Nash this past weekend, and of all people to replace the heavyweight champion (and all around awesome talent) with, Savio Vega?

Kane and The Undertaker. According to the storyline there is no way they should have been able to team up even for a second. also there is no way anyone should have been able to beat them.

DiBiase and IRS were basically a makeshift tag team, but Money Inc. went on to become one of the best teams of all time.

Does anyone remember the brief pairing of The Big Show and Billy Gunn. They kinda played the role of the funny Big Show and the serious Billy Gunn. Big Show thought of the idea of having them be called, the Show-Gunns.

I think DX actually started as a makeshift tag team consisting of HHH and HBK.

Rene Dupree and Kenzo Suzuki weren't overly odd, were they?
