So the guy wins a ladder match to regain possession of his briefcase, with an added assist from Team 3D to help even the odds. From the smile on his face, he didn't seem to have a problem with them helping him out.
Then the British Invasion's buddies show up, and start putting the boots to Team 3D. So what does Homicide do? Grabs his case and walks off.
That's gratitude for you.

He was exhausted from that grueling ladder match.

Where Homicide's concerned, they got lucky he just left instead of murdering every single one of them.

Did Homicide win the briefcase on a DQ? I was in and out of the room, so missed some vital info. i came back and the British Invasion were laying a beatdown.

Homicide pushed Williams off of the ladder to the outside onto the Brits. As Homicide climbed, Magnus tried to slide in and stop him, but Team 3D attacked him, letting Cide get the case.

Okay, thanks for clearing that up. I thought I heard Tenay said something about a DQ and I was totally confused by that.
Nevertheless, I hated how West and Tenay just crapped on him coming out. "WE HAVEN'T SEEN HIM IN MONTHS! Anyway..." That didn't make any sense to me. Especially with Hernandez out.

I think you're giving them too much credit. As I recall it was something like: LAX music hits Homicide comes out silence Mike Tenay: ...well isn't this an interesting development? It was awful.

Its weird, before, Tenay and West would freak out WAY TOO MUCH on stuff like that. As of late, it seems like theyve been told to calm the f*** down, and their response is to completely undersell things.

As of late, it seems like theyve been told to calm the f*** down, and their response is to completely undersell things. Nah, to me, it's basically the same. They'll freak out about stuff, but not in any particular meaningful way. An announcer should be able to react to things in any way that's natural for any human being. If something surprising happens, the announcer is allowed to actually SOUND surprised. But Tenay and West never sound surprised. West has certainly been leaps and bounds better since turning heel, and their banter has benefited from it, but when something big happens, its like they can't keep up, so they'll bark something unmemorable out and move on to over-describe everything that's happening. A heel turn, for example, should elicit maybe a moment of shocked silence in some cases, but you just know that wouldn't happen with Tenay calling the match.
