I wasn't around for the live thread, so feel free to no-sell this post if discussion has already been played out, but aside from people's happiness at seeing Serena and Melissa finally in the ring as themselves (um...sorta), what did you all think of the quality of the match itself?
In my opinion, it was solid, but not outstanding. The main problem was that it seemed rushed, with little real psychology or storytelling. I realize that they had limited TV time, so I won't blame them too much for that, but at times it seemed almost like they were trying to run through a spot/move checklist and fit everything in instead of letting the match flow.
Other opinions?

I thought there was a lot of storytelling in the match, although it mainly came from the announcers. They really played into the fact that this was hyped as Sarita's big debut, and Allisa was matching Sarita move-for-move almost as if she (Allisa) wanted to take away Sarita's moment and claim it as her own. I remember Allisa hit a bit string of moves, and Don West said something along the lines of "Just whose debut is this anyway?" I thought it was a great way to debut two new Knockouts at the same time.

It was a good TNA television match. They had five minutes, which isn't enough to put on a clinic or to show much psychology. They established their styles of wrestling (power vs lucha), told the story of Sara debuting only to be upstaged by Melissa, and entertained the crowd.
It actually reminded me of the weekly X Div match, which is always good but always needs more time.
So, I'd agree it was solid. It wasn't their match on Shimmer 11, but it was solid.

I loved that match! I wish it could've been longer, though.

I think they played out a story with this well. Sarita's getting all this attention for her debut, but Alissa gets absolutely no press. She feels underappreciated and whatnot, so she decides to go out of her way to make Sarita's debut a flop. You could even imagine her watching Sarita tapes over and over to have an answer for EVERYTHING she did, so she could really make Sarita look like a flash in the pan amateur who didn't deserve her hype. The match starts, Melissa does the dastardly gum spitting to try and gain an early advantage, but Sarita's too quick. Sarita gets over with KEWL MOVEZ!~ Hell the last time we saw a woman do a Tope on national tv....she nearly broke her neck again....That plus the running double springboard armdrag that has a flipping variation, and the girl is over big time with the crowd. This pisses Alissa off so she starts brutalizing the poor girl. You keep having Stock looking non-useless by having her get mini-come backs throughout and then gets a fluke win. Melissa gets pissed and lays her out so she decides she can still 1-up stock by laying her out after the match. I mean it worked, Sarah was getting madd face pop while Alissa was getting UBER heel heat.
They can establish each other by feuding with each other, then it makes it A LOT more interesting when they've both moved on because it makes you really excited to see them interact with the other girls in the division. Maybe Melissa could align with TBP since they're so prominent in the division and could help her become more prominent than Sarita. Then Sarita or even ODB(Since she's seen Saeed under the mask) could unmask her as Saeed which makes Kong furious that she could DARE team with TBP after all they've done and have them feud.

When it comes to women's wrestling, TNA rules the roost. I always felt TNA was at the middle of the spectrum when it came to women's wrestling and tits and ass (with Shimmer being at one and WWE being at the other). And TNA has it down perfectly. They have enough tits and ass, and enough wrestling to be in the middle.
That match was awesome. I really enjoyed it, the crowd was into it, and they did a great job with it. I hope that drew a good rating, but I personally think it did. My fear with the rating is that it's two girls who aren't that established, one who has had vingettes and one who hasn't, but it all goes back to emotional connect. Most guys have emotional connections with girls based off of evolution, but I really think that match went beyond that. And I'm interested to see what the rating would be for that.
I think now, TNA should get a Knockouts show because of how loaded the division has become.

I think now, TNA should get a Knockouts show because of how loaded the division has become. Like I said in another thread, on Spike an all-knockouts show would actually make some degree of sense and have at least a ghost of a chance. Time for a new thread.

The Sarita debut vs Alissa Flash should have been on Victory Road instead of Jenna/Sharmell

The Sarita debut vs Alissa Flash should have been on Victory Road instead of Jenna/Sharmell Or the rematch. Sarita/Flash look like they can constatly have good matches together like Gail Kim/Kong. I think Taylor Wilde and Sarita styles would mesh very well in a match. The knockous have a lot of fresh matchups. So it looks like they are finally recovered from Gail Kim.
