The thing I loved about this, as I watched that, was the fact that Sting's transformation was so gradual, with doubt being put into the lockerroom's mind, with the makeup changing and evolving...such great stuff.
I miss the silent Sting era.

I miss the silent Sting era. QFT, man. Such a well-executed story. It goes to show that you don't need to rush things, and aspects like feuds and character changes can be gradual as long as every step of it is allowed to be compelling. I so miss WCW in 96-97. I religiously watched Nitro every week back then for things just like what was shown in that video.

I still get goosebumps when he descends from the rafters at Uncensored in '97. The previous Monday with Hogan embracing him, and me being a young little semi-smark at the time, pretty much having a heart attack, and then...
Yeah. Went to a friend's place to watch it because he had satellite (our cable company in rural Wyoming didn't have PPV until about 2000), and him laying the nWo out. I was in tears as I was screaming at the TV.
12 years ago now. Wow.
