Let's use this thread to write about major storyline points or feuds you'd like to see ended (or begun) at BFG this year. We had a thread for what matches we'd book, but let's focus on storyline/feud booking here.
I brought up in a thread recently that I think, this year, BFG could be the MEM's Waterloo; maybe they'll drop the titles, maybe even break up, etc.
If that's the case:
-Have Samoa Joe finally "destroy the MEM from within" (maybe with Taz telling him from the announce table to do it) somehow, maybe with Joe costing certain members their titles and then doing something to Angle after what will likely be his match against Morgan. Joe topples an already beaten Angle, declares the MEM dead, and establishes the Nation of Violence (with whatever members, I can't think it out that far) as the new heel force in TNA.
-Come to think of it, you could mimic that angle by having Homicide do that to World Elite, and setting himself up as the Don of his own Rottweilers-style gang. Then again, WE hasn't been around long enough to pull the plug on it, so I'd see waiting on that.
-Speaking of Samoa Joe: the X-Division title's gained a bit of prominence back recently, but it could really do wonders to use BFG to get the belt off him and onto either Suicide or, preferably, Dinero. Then Suicide and Dinero continue their feud, but now the strap's on the line, finally giving it a high profile, non-comedic feud, something it's only recently gained with Joe/Daniels current mini-feud.
-I think it's been hinted at, but BFG is, to me, the perfect time for AJ to retire Sting, and give the Stinger an honorable sendoff. It'd be the feel good moment that would stick in everyone's memory while there could be chaos going on during the rest of the show leading up to it.
Any other feuds/angles/storylines you want to see featured heavily at BFG?

I have been both anticipating and hoping that Joe would eventually decimate the MEM, because it always felt natural that him taking the money to join them was a ruse to lull them into a false sense of security. However, I think I would enjoy it much more if Joe and Angle stayed a team and moved to dominate the tag division. I prefer tag team wrestling more than singles and would love if the TNA tag titles were elevated to a position just under if not on level with the world title. You could us le BFG to start a storyline where Kurt turns on the MEM because Joe is the only one pulling his weight. I think Joe/Angle could be an insane team and they should give them the belts for a long time with many feuds

As big of a mark for him as I am, Sting had a great last run. Probabily as good as Flair's (not counting boxoffice) by that mean story envolvement. Let him put AJ over one good time. It'll put the final rubber stamp on AJ as a star

Bound for Glory needs to be the Waterloo of the Main Event Mafia.
Joe is defeated for the X-Division belt by Daniels.
Booker/Steiner lose the tag belts (hopefully Beer Money).
Nash drops the Legend's Title (to Abyss, I guess).
The Morgan/Angle match turns into a clusterf*** and Booker/Steiner/Nash attempt to interfere, but Joe appears and takes them out. The World Elite seemingly come out, but Eric Young stops them, smirking as he sees the Mafia fall apart. Morgan pins Angle, and Joe/Morgan declare the end of the stable for good.

I'm thinking that after No Surrender Angle is the last man standing as far as Main Eevent Mafia members holding championships go. Morgan finally gets his one on one match with Angle at Bound For Glory and Joe vows to be in Angle's Corner. Cut to Bound For Glory where after a ref bump Joe finally makes his move to cost Angle the championship by clearing the ring of the other MEM members when they try to interfere and Morgan capitalisies to win the title. Joe comes out on the next Impact to congratulate Morgan and declares the MEM dead saying paybacks are a bitch and even though it took him 12 months he finally got his revenge.

If Joe attacks the MEM there's no way he could stay heel.
I think Sting should lose the TNA Title to AJ Styles in an epic passing the torch battle. Keep Angle out of it by putting in some bloody feud. If Angle was able to get over his foolish pride, Jarrett would be THE perfect opponent for that feud. You could compare it to Edge-Matt. However, I don't think Angle would do that so he'll probably face Matt Morgan (who cost him the title before).
With Angelina Love gone TNA's knockout division is pretty messed up, but we could have ODB vs. Daffney for the Knockout's Title.
Joe should face Lashley in a match that ends in some kind of draw.
I hope Mr. Anderson debuts as a face.

I like the idea of Daffney Vs ODB as it could be booked as a very brutal and bloody fued between the two toughtest bitches in the Knockout division. Just so long as they don't have ODB get almost all the wins like they did with Taylor Wilde. I actually think they'll go with ODB against Traci Brooks for the good old Playboy push or hotshot the title off to Kong or Tara.

I hope Mr. Anderson debuts as a face. I actually think Joe COULD stay heel, even by destroying the MEM, but you'd have to throw something in there to establish that. I mean, yes, you're right: if Joe just costs the MEM their belts and then destroys Angle after a match, the fans will immediately cheer him. But if Joe does that, AND goes after whichever face or faces are also involved, it can be drawn more as "Joe is overthrowing the old heel guard, because now HE'S the boss." Actually, that just gave me a thought; if you really want BFG 2009 to be a big passing of the torch show, you could have Daniels win the X-Division title, AJ win the World Title, and Joe complete his year-long plan to destroy the Mafia, and end the show with AJ and Daniels celebrating in the ring (w/Sting getting a good sendoff, of course), but then have Joe glaring at them from the top of the entrance ramp. So you establish AJ and Daniels as the two face champions (sort of taking over for Sting/Jarrett/whoever), with Joe clearly shown as the new true heel threat (taking over for Angle/MEM) to both of them. A final shot showing all three of them in frame would be pretty iconic for TNA. Still, you don't have to go that direction, necessarily.

If they go the Angle/Morgan route (I assume they will cause it's been built up longer) then Joe could always then challenge Morgan saying that he owes him and he wouldn't be champion without him or something like that.

I saw the idea touched on before, but, what if Joe turns on & takes out the MEM, and then Homicide does the same with the World Elite (except the WE sticks around) and Homicide & Joe, as tweeners, feud with the World Elite and with AJ & Daniels? Also, after the ending of the MEM - the return of Dr. Nash, and his associate, Scott Steiner, PhD (he does come from a highly educated university).

But what about Dr. Stevie. He's a trained medical professional! He said so himself on Impact... Which explains why he was never on TV during his WWE run. So, THAT'S what he was going to show us! I see now.

I mean, if the unifying theme of BFG, let's say, is "passing the torch", then it doesn't make too much sense to put too much turmoil in WE, since the focus would be on the end of the Mafia and the retirement of Sting, with the hand-in-hand rise of AJ, Daniels, Joe, Morgan, Abyss, et. al. But at the same time, it's an angle I'd love to see happen, since I think Homicide should either be running his own stable (again, as the "Don" figure they painted him as in ROH) or just plain going back to his violent roots. ...In which case, I'd say TNA should pick up Julius Smokes.

I would absolutely love this. Homicide getting back to his violent roots could be amazing. I think he should do so and be built as THE top heel. Throwing Julius in there would be amazing. The guy can get some great manager heat. I wonder who would be the ther members of this neo-Rottweiler group. I am a huge Rocky Romero fan and I really dig Ricky Reyes but I don't even know what they are up to. I can hardly imagine how incredible an extensive TNA program between a heel Homicide and a face/tweener Joe could be.
