You have an excellent point. Then again, I can't promise ROHbots would behave. Remember their oh-so-classy chants towards Davey Richards? "Goodnight Daniel!" Made me sick to my stomach. first it wasn't a chant, and second it wasn't by "ROHbots". one person said it one time during one match, and if i recall right he was ejected right after saying it. Well, chant may of been an overstatement, but that was NOT a single incident. A lot of people gave him crap for being like Benoit around that point, also on this board. Just saying that it sometimes only takes a handful of morons to completely ruin something, and ROH is certainly not exempt.

I'm still not sure where you're going with this, especially since most 'ROHBots' were offended by it. What exactly are you expecting them to do? Chant "You Killed Misawa"?

Someone please tell me this isn't true. www.tokyo-sports.co.jp/I doubt it could have been prevented. The same thing could have easily happened had it been Bison Smith that suplexed him. It might have even happened the next day if it didn't happen that day. His spine was worn down to the core. I don't think there was much they would have been able to. Saito shouldn't feel guilty at all. If you're a pro-wrestler, you're going to take back bumps. That suplex from Saito was one of the safest looking backdrop suplexes I have ever seen in my life. 90% of the time he takes worse bumps in backdrops than that. The only thing that would have prevented this from happening was retirement. This is the best way they could explain it to Saito and hopefully he would see that it is in no way his fault. The suplex did nOT look safe at all it looked like he landed at the top of the back of his head. It seems like it was Misawa's stubborness to not retire that lead to his death. Kawada's taken a different route with his wrestling as he's got older and it still works. his strikes aren't as stiff, his suplexes and powerbombs aren't as head droppy, and well he's probably the best old timer in puro right now. Ahwell.

So I was wondering if there was any interest in doing a top 20 Misawa matches like MGH does on the WWE board. Might be a good thing to do if enough people are interested.

Eh I like head drops when they make sense, but I don't know it's weird. A full back bump for a back suplex where it drives the air out of you like what Morishima and DH do seems just enough for me.

Could you fill me in on who they are? I've been wondering. Jinsei Shinzaki (Hakushi in WWF) standing and Hayabusa in the wheelchair. It just goes to show how fragile Misawa's neck was, as Hayabusa took a much worse bump which put him in that wheelchair, than the one that tragically killed Misawa. R.I.P.

My first post on this forums. Last week I found out about this tragic incident on this thread and it deeply saddens my heart to hear Misawa is no longer with us. He was the defiantly my favorite wrestler in AJPW. So I was wondering if there was any interest in doing a top 20 Misawa matches like MGH does on the WWE board. Might be a good thing to do if enough people are interested. I think there's a lot of great Misawa matches, but the one that stand out for me is when he feuded with Stan Hansen, Vader & Steve Williams in AJPW. Those guys looked like they were unstoppable in AJPW and it felt like Misawa was the only one who could take them on ;D

If I was going to say something at ROH fans expense, I'd come right out and say it. I generally like ROH fans, I'm just saying that ONE call was enough to ruin a moment. It only takes one sometimes, like a tasteless call at one of the Hall of Fames for WWE with someone in the audience yelling for Triple H to tear a quad, or the like. I'm ending this here, though, since I spoke out of turn, and got demonized for it. If anyone has anymore to say about it, PM it, since I don't want this getting off track. I just hope this means people will be safer in the future about these sorts of bumps. It was a tragic accident, but we don't need more in-ring decapitations just for a little extra crowd pleasing. I know it was an accident, and not intentional, but every injury is an accident. Doesn't mean one can't seek to limit risks, you know?

I think it'd be amazing if Kobashi vs Kawada took place one last time on the memorial show.
