Credit goes to the PWTorch Newsletter. After jumping to the RAW brand this past summer, Kurt Angle has reportedly made it clear to many that he wants the chance to take part in many PPV main events to prove himself to WWE management. According to reports, Angle wants to be used more than just a "utility heel" and wants Vince McMahon to put faith in his work to build him as a reliable worker.
The reason many people see issue with that taking place relies soley on McMahon having a tendency to show more faith in son-in-law Triple H. McMahon is also very big on John Cena being the centerpiece of the WWE at the moment and plans to take the WWE Championship off him doesn't appear to be in the plans for at least the next few months.
The overwhelming opinion among many a few months before the WWE Draft Lottery in June was that Angle needed to jump to the RAW brand in order to further his character after his abilities weren't used to its fullest potential on the SmackDown brand. However, since the jump, Angle looks to have stalled a bit, although he is still scheduled to play a prominent role in the WWE Title scene well into Survivor Series. What the plans are after that is anyone's guess. Angle has stressed in many interviews in the last few months that he would like to see WWE, and Vince McMahon more importantly, give him the ball and run with it despite his past neck injury problems. Says one WWE source, "Angle has sacrificed his health and his marriage for the business. He's lost so much, he won't settle for less than being known as the best ever. He may not get that wish, though, and that could haunt him forever." Interesting? Any thoughts?

Kurt is the man. He is the main reason I got back into wrestling. No man blends wrestling ability with mic skills and personality more than Angle. And when you add in his gold medals you have a man who canbe the public face for a company, and bring it some mainstream credibility. Thats what Vince wants right, well who can bring it better? An Olympic hero, and your son in law who has never done anything in the real world. Trips is not half the wrestler Angle is, and Angle has been wrestling for half the time. If they unleash Angle who knows what he could accomplish.

They still can have Cena as the centerpiece and Kurt Angle as a huge role. What they need to do is have Angle win the WWE Title at Taboo Tuesday.
I feel that Edge will end up winning the title at Wrestlemania, so maybe you could put him in with Cena and Angle while they feud.
Cena and Angle work so well together. I'm thinking that Angle may drop the title to Cena at the Royal Rumble, and Cena feuds with Edge or something, or could feud with Angle for a bit and maybe slowly push Edge in there, and maybe Triple H vs Kurt Angle at Wrestlemania.
I feel Angle deserves the title, and but should still work a good program with John Cena. They work well together, and the WWE needs to capitalize on it. Haha, screw Triple H.

kinda sounds like BS. prove himself? he's done that lots of times I think Angle is kind of a perrennial superstar, fans only want to see him gain momentum for a while then they don't care so much
in my opinion, Angle is great, but he'll never quite be Bret Hart

Sadly we all knew this as fact, theres only one #1 heel on Raw, and we all know who that is. Best chance IMO for Angle to recapture the gold is to go back to being "goofy kurt" which really isnt a heel or a face. Thay was he can get the belt and be fueding with HHH.

Seems a one-sided opinion with no evidence to prove it until the end of the year.
Angle already has a nice career, but it has not been the same since 2003.

Angle has stalled a bit, I agree. But I think that's due to bad writing, and no fault of Angle's. Really, the dumbest thing WWE did with the draft was to change the titles for each show.
OK, so Angle moved from wrestling for the WWE Title on Smackdown to wrestling for the...WWE Title on Raw. That's dumb.
And everyone knows that the only heel who's going to go over as champ for the next 15 years will be Triple H.

Eh I think its already been proven in the way the Angle/Cena fued has gone to this point. Angle hasnt been able to beat cena in a 1 on 1, even when it was a handicapped 2 on 1 with Bischoff in his corner. Not saying Angle won t get the belt, but if he doesnt get it at Taboo Tuesday he's not getting it. Its obvious to anyone that WM22 is Cena vs HHH. So if Angle were to get the belt, the only way its gonna happen is at taboo tuesday by him pinning the 3rd person, getting the belt, and then giving it back to Cena in a 1 on 1 at either Survior Series or New Years Revolution.

Gee, I wonder why Vince hasn't put much faith in Angle as the main event? Hm, maybe it's because every time he does, Kurt winds up needing time off to heal his ever-shrinking neck.
I don't mean to take anything away from Angle, because he is a fantastic wrestler. His feud with Shawn Michaels has really shown any fans who started watching WWE after 2003 just how good he can be when he's healthy. And yes, he should be given one more title reign before he finally hangs up the boots for good. But it's kind of hard to rebound after saying that you want to have bestiality sex with a "gutters***" on national television. If anyone takes the title from Cena, it should be Angle. That way, Cena won't necessarily be buried openly by Triple H if he wins the title from him instead.

He can wrestle like crazy but if he gets tons of airtime and talks all the time I might have to stop watching. He just cannot entertain me outside of the ring

Personally i can't stand angle myself,he seems like an all around jerk in general from what i've seen and heard(no ihaven't heard or seen much of him outside of wwe but he's rubbed me the wrong way in a couple of articles) the question is how much longer can he wrestle? they are really pushing him in the commentary of his matches every week, and if they keep calling him the greatest of al time, sure enough it's gonna stick-i just don't know if the wwe,or raw at least is big enough for triple h and kurt angle
