Nice, entertaining little Pay-Per-View. Until about halfway through the main event, when it started going black and white every thirty seconds. Was this a Turner Home Entertainment doing? If not, what in the f*** is it then?

WWE 24/7 has the screen go black and white everytime someone bleeds. I pay $6.99 a month for this shit? I am writing to them via their website and threaten to cancel my subscription. I can deal with dubbed themes and WWF blurs, but this takes it too far. Would it be THAT hard to put a disclaimer before the event? Hell, the only people who would subscribe and thus watch, are hardcore old school fans, and are at least like 16 years old anyway!

I just hope they don't start doing this s*** to DVDs.

the dubbed themes bother me, but oh well i have had the service for like a month and a half and I love it
It brought back memories watching the two ring triple crown battle royal...plus you got that Sting-Muta tv title match, Paul E vs Jim Cornette in the tuxedo match that wasnt bad at all...it was a solid ppv and y i loved NWA/WCW when i was growing up.
Plus Jim Ross and Bob Caudle were great

Ah, bugger. I knew they did this, but I thought they left most of the old school stuff alone (only censoring Attitude-ish and up). And hey, don't they put a disclaimer and leave classic ECW intact? (Or I am guessing that will soon become extinct on CoD, as it seems to be with the DVD inclusions)
As much as I appreciate WWE using DVDs and CoD to keep the old footage alive, I must say that outside of releases where these issues aren't TOO intrusive, I think this will finally turn me towards wanting to look for the original broadcasts on iOffer, eBay, and whatnot almost exclusively. This is the straw that broke the camel's back. Music clearance issues, the WWF logos thing...even the whole Benoit issue, I understood those. And I understand why they want to be PG now (ironically, the ghost of Benoit looms over that decision too, I think) and don't begrudge them for the need to give the younger viewers today an accessible product. Hey I was a younger viewer at one time, of course. But there are easier ways to get around this blood issue; see: said ECW treatment, if they still indeed do this.
You know, I don't mind if the current product isn't that great to me, so long as I can enjoy the product I remember fondly. But this is just like what George Lucas did to Star Wars fans. Hate the prequels? Well at least you have the original movies...except they're gonna be the Special Editions...and he'll keep on changing even THOSE depending on how he feels.
So yeah, I can't suggest enough for all of you to write to WWE about this. And if "they don't care," that's the point of writing. You MAKE THEM.

Well they have a disclaimer for ECW, but they still edit the blood on ECW despite the disclaimer.

Email them. Tell them how you feel. I don't lie when I say that it works.

No wonder most people don't bother ordering the WWE On Demand service or cancel it altogether in favor of tape/dvd traders and bootleggers that have the original broadcasts. The company is doing themselves a great disservice.

Glad I have this on video and be just how it was. As do I, original ppv recording too. Shame that the tape's so old though, all blurry and the sound's warping.

But they are afraid that little Timmy might walk in to see red stuff oozing out of Ric Flair! You'd think little Timmy would get used to it when Ric Flair hits a .7 on the Muta Scale while looking for his car keys.
