If ESPN owning the AWA footage because it was broadcast on their network is the case... WHy haven't we seen any GWF.. Which certainly is better wrestling than UWF... (I'm talking Cactus Jack, Eddie Gilbert, Harlem Heat (before they were Harlem Heat) Lightning Kid (Xpac) Jerry Lynn, The Patriot... While I'm at it what about World Class footage that use to be shown on ESPN and I think the USWA (With Eric Embry wrestling every match)... I'd love to see this stuff... Does anyone have any answers???

But UWF has so many "so bad it's good" moments, like Bruno's announcing, or Paul Orndorff coming out to MC Hammer, and of course, the famous intro. You mean this!?

I love how even the intro has "One thing, and that's to fight, and win!". That pretty much sets the tone right there. I still love when Bruno seemed to have no emotional investment in the fact David was getting his ass beat by Cactus Jack.

I like catching those old AWA shows. I saw a lot of them back in the day. I have to say that some of the wrestling is horrible. I forgot how bad some of those guys were. Not to mention how out of touch and behind the times the Gagnes were.

I had no idea the Midnight Express was in the AWA, with Paul E. Dangerously no less.

I had no idea the Midnight Express was in the AWA, with Paul E. Dangerously no less. That was Dennis Condrey and Randy Rose, the "Original" Midnight Express. That wasn't too long after Dennis had walked out on Cornette and Bobby Eaton in the NWA. I think Dennis had said Wahoo McDaniel located him in Colorado and convinced him to come to the AWA for that short time.

It seemed like an invasion of sorts that focused on Cornette and Company only. Wondered where it woulda went if Condrey had stuck around a but longer

"they don't even wrestle here!" And the only storyline that Dusty didn't book before his departure, which is why it started off awesomely. Then George Scott took over and completely ruined it because he didn't like either Dennis or Randy. But Dennis was going to be the one pinned at Chi-Town Rumble and then they were going to bring him back for something else (as usual) but he didn't wanna be bothered so he walked out again.

AWA seems to tell a better story then UWF(Abrams).
