I was just watching some videos on Daily Motion. Vader was in the Dungeon of Doom in July 1995, challenging Hulk Hogan for the WCW Title. By September, he was scheduled to be on Hogan's team in War Games against the Dungeon of Doom before he was fired by WCW for backstage issues. Now, I watched WCW religiously at the time, but I don't recall how they turned Vader. Can anyone help me out? Is there a video out there?

I vaguely remember that he saved Hulk from the Dungeon of Doom. For some reason.
Godz would be the one to talk about this cause he's a huge Hulk and Vader fan.

wasn't his feud with Flair and Anderson the reason he became a babyface?

That makes sense. From doing a little bit of research, Vader saved Hogan the same night that he faced Flair and Anderson in a handicap match at Clash of the Champions 31.
I guess having him save Hogan that night was supposed to cement him as a babyface.

And from what I can remember that Flair/Anderson handicap match was the last one he had in WCW. End of an era really.

Vader had formed a little stable of sorts with Flair and Anderson for a short time. It seems like the lost a 6 man tag match or something and Flair and Anderson decided to blame Vader, thus the handicap match at Clash of the Champions.
During this same time, Vader saved Hogan from the beatdown in the Dungeon of Doom.
I'm positive there was more to the Flair/Anderson/Vader angle leading into the turn but I can't remember what.

I always thought he never really turned face, he just agreed to be on Hogans team until he quit

But why would he save Hogan? What could he gain by doing that? Title shots? Face vs face wan't very common then, was it? Join the man he couldn't beat? That doesn't sound like Vader's character at all.

I heard somewhere before, that originally the Dungeon of Doom was meant to be a dark cult like stable. But looking back it is unintentionally goofy and funny. "SUUULLIVAAAAANN! MY SON!"

I remember in a locker room segment, Hogan saying he would (I think) promise to give Vader another title shot. This was sometime after the Bash at the Beach match.
Vader replyed (I think): That's the first time someone promised me something.

Macho's and Zodiac costumes look verry similar there. It looked like at first glance that Zodiac beat up Hogan, then saved him 10 seconds later.

From a review of Bash at the Beach '95:
"After the match, Ric Flair storms the ring to yell at Vader for losing to Hogan in what’s supposed to thought of as an impromptu moment as Tony and Bobby had already said their goodbyes. Flair gets in his face, so Vader starts to choke Flair back into a corner. Arn Anderson runs in for the save, but he gets scared away by Vader. Flair climbs out the cage to escape Vader as he and Arn head to the back. Once Vader starts making his way back there, he tells the camera he wants both Arn and Flair. Okay, now the PPV is over."
So that + Vader destroying Arn & Flair in a handicap match the following month at the Clash + saving Hogan from the D.O.D. = face turn
