WWF beating WCW?
I'm talking the legit companies, not the "winner take all" Survivor Series match. Just the fact that Vince's privately owned company came back from the brink of being bankrupt to beat out Ted Turner and WCW.

WCW was the under dog in that fight even although they were on top and took WWF to the brink for quite some time. Everyone around the world knew who WWF was in the 80's. WCW didn;t come onto the seen as a very well recognized worldwide company till the 90's. If you asked a non wrestling fan back then to name a wrestling company even when WCW were on top they still would have said WWF more often than not. It was more an upset WCW were beating WWF. That's why iot was such a big deal at the time and a big reason it;'s still talked about today.

Goldberg beating Hogan. A guy with less than a year in the sport beat the biggest name ever clean.

Not sure if it's been mentioned yet, but Spike Dudley over Bam Bam Bigelow in an episode of ECW Led to a PPV rematch where Spike, I believe, got completely murdalized.
Speaking of Spike, how bout when he beat Rey for the cruiswerweight title after turning heel? That was huge, in my opinion.
Oh, and two of the biggest upsets of the new millennium, in my opinion:
Daivari over Shawn Michaels (thanks to interference from Muhammad Hassan)
and
Kevin Federline over WWE CHAMPION John Cena (thanks to Umaga, but still, Cena didn't even get any offense in)

I thought Benoit eliminating Brock Lesnar at Survivor Series 2003 was an upset and helped elevate Benoit to the "I can make ANYONE tap out" status.

No one mentions Kidman beating Hogan? shhh! People might start thinking Hogan did job more than a few times in his career What about Marc Mero covering up Sable when she was coming out flaunting her figure and boobs in 1998. Mero forced Sable to wear a potato sack and coverd her up with his attire a few times. That was a big upset in wrestling history ;D

Would this count as WCW was the underdog who took it to the WWF and lost. WCW was the under dog in that fight even although they were on top and took WWF to the brink for quite some time. Well initially WCW were the underdogs as you say but in that 97/98 time frame WCW had all the big stars (except HBK & 'Taker), cruiserweights and other great wrestlers and the nWo and millions in the bank. The WWF had Stone Cold and barely any money and somehow beat the WCW machine. And convincingly beat them too. That was nothing short of a miracle.

However with WWF being the more established wrestling company. It would have been more of an upset if WCW had put them out of business. Rather than vice versa. WCW more beat themselves as they had no clue how to book and run a wrestlnig prommition and had a few good and fresh ideas in 1996 which the fans latched on to. Then they continued to run those ideas into the ground. Which gives me WCW beating WWF in The Monday night ratings for over 80 weeks and almost putting them out of business. That was a massive upset. For ratings posted above.

Rene Dupree over Kane, from the episode of Raw where Austin bitches Kane out for getting beat by him and tries to reawaken the "monster" in him.
But yeah, I still think K-Fed over Cena wins the thread, if for no other reason than the massive absurdity of any celebrity going over an established superstar, although LT beating Bam Bam was the only time I could buy it. But Mayweather over Show? Eh...

Can we play the What If? game and just imagine how awesome it would have been if, during the Kurt Angle Invitational, it had been somebody other than Cena who had come in and been built against Angle? Someone like Roderick Strong
