Was at the local comic shop looking at 30 dollar Dick Tracy MIC action figures (really...who is shelling out 30 clams for this?) and came across TWO unopened packs of NWA Wrestling Supercards. These 7 card packs could house any of the 343 "superstars" of the NWA. They were usually action cards like this: So I opened up one of the packs (the other I'm saving for an article) and here's what I got: -Picture of Dick Murdoch waving his finger around a fallen Nikita Koloff, while Dusty Rhodes's head appearing out of Nikita's ass. -Ricky Santana smashing the arm of Terry Taylor. I'm sure kids were excited to get this one. -Lex Lugar. My first main eventer (Murdoch had been a midcarder at that point). Lex looks ready to adjust himself. -Sheephearder Luke. The card itself sucks but this gives some info on him in the back. His favorite singer...David Bowie. His favorite color...red. -Great another Murdoch card. This time he looks like he's about make Koloff commit sodomy. -Lex irish whipping Arn Anderson in a fuzzy haze. -Female wrestler Jamie West. WHO THE HELL IS THIS PERSON?

I have a few of these from when I bought some at Family Dollar when I was in middle school. Great find there.

You have got to post those cards. Especially the one where Dusty's head is coming out of Nikita's butt.

Who's Jamie West? Duh! The Cosmic Cowgirl! Ok, ok. I didn't know that either. I have no idea who she is.

Who in the hell is a fan of Harvard sports teams? Maybe it's one of those things where since he's not from the States, he just named the first college he thought of? I dunno. I'm still bitter at them for wait-listing me for grad school. Very happy as a Quaker, though!

Man, I've got a whole stack of those. Looking through them then, and now, makes me glad I wasn't watching the Crockett stuff in fall 87 - spring 88.
