While watching the "Greatest Superstars of the '90's" on WWE Classics on demand, a thought occured to me. There we so many guys who seemed to be destined for World Title runs that never got one. Instead they had runs with the IC, US, TV, or Tag titles. Who were the best champs that never reached the top of the mountain?
Some of my choices.
Magnum TA
Razor Ramon
Ken Shamrock
Million Dollar Man
Any more you can think of fellow Crappers?

Magnum TA was supposed to have been NWA Champion at Starccade 86 until the car crash ended it all. By far, Magnum is the saddest case, especially since he was only 27 and his best years were still to come .

Jake Roberts is another wrestler that comes to mind, but agree Magnum was the saddest case because he would have been champion had his motorcycle accident not happened. He was also the 2nd most popular wrestler of the era only behind Hulk Hogan in popularity.

Ted DiBiase (with a decent run not 5 minutes like he got) Andre The Giant (again didn't get anything near a decent run just a 5 minutes then handed to DiBiase) Kane (with a more than 5 minute run from around 1998-1999 time before they destryoed his charachter) I agree with most of the above also

Mr Perfect. I know that Curt Hennig held the AWA Title, but Mr. Perfect's gimmick was that he was perfect, and it should have showed with an undefeated streak leading to a world title honestly.
