But for some reason I actually kinda/sorta wouldn't mind an Umaga win over Cena, especially if it gave John boy a storyline beatdown to give him a couple months off and refresh interest in his character. I don't know who I'd have Umaga battle in such a scenario, BUT I don't think I'd totally hate the idea of him winning.
Please don't hurt me.

Hurt you? I wanna give you a....well......damn the filters! A warm embrace, shall we say? I truly thought I was alone in wanting an Umaga title win over Cena.

I don't see how Umaga can not win at NYR. I don't see Vince Mcmahon building up a character for so long that now he will kill it in his first title match. He's probably done it before but I hope Umaga wins.

I'm pulling for Umaga all the way. Hey, it's better than Cena.

Nah, I'd prefer Cena as champion....
Only an alternative like Umaga could make me say something like that.

The Champ's hiatus no doubt means montage after montage of John Cena going thru training (USMC style) getting back into shape & battle-ready to combat his evil overwhelming 'ethnic' monster & his dubious manager (from a communist country) overcoming the odds to destroy them both at a future PPV ...YAWN!!! Fingers down the throat time... I wanna puke!!!

You can hope it turns out different, but we have definitely seen it happen before.

I'd support Umaga for Champion if he ditched the spinner belt.
Though since he's a Samoan savage, I'm sure they'd give him a belt made from coconuts and raw fish.

You have Umaga winning over Cena in a controvserial fashion, Cena gets a rematch and loses again in some dusty finish. Cena argues for another chance (he's not Batista) so Cena starts spiraling into a rut.
Then one day we see Cena drinking in a bar and you see some wrestler encounter Cena in a bar and they get into an arguement and Cena gets "stabbed" again.
Cena is out of action and you have return videos using the song "A Beautiful Day".
Cena returns to MSG with massive cheers.
I highly doubt the last one would happen since WWE and the people at MSG aren't really on the best of terms right now and the MSG crowds tend not to like Cena (aren't they a bit on the smarkish side?)

I wouldn't mind it, honestly. It gives Cena something to do other than the usual.
In fact, since Hogan wants in on Wrestlemania this year, they could even use him in this angle. Cena could seek him out for help on how to beat someone savage as Umaga, and Hogan can become a mentor of sorts for Cena.
This way we also avoid a Hogan match at WM....
