Fake has always been a very hard word and should never be used against the wrestlers who risk their lives for this business. While results are predetermined, the risks in those matches are very real.

Edge should have slapped a ho.
I HATE the "wresting is fake" shit. "Predetermined" is more accurate.

Vader can vouch for that. Sid can also vouch for that. Actually, he should have the tape of his injury at WCW Sin with him all the time. When someone says wrestling is fake, he should pop that clip in and show them how wrong they are.

Sid, Vader and now Joey Mercury can all vouch.

I hate to admit it, but...
...Edge just won back some respect from me.
There. I said it.

Acting is fake, TV shows, movies all fake, but people never throw that in actors faces. They are just playing roles. It's a bit of a double standard to be sure.

It's scripted, not fake. There's a distinction there.

I don't like "pre-determined". It sounds like the fix is in, like someone's being paid to take a dive (yes, I know someone is, but I mean in the dishonest way). I prefer "scripted", because that's what it is; they write scripts, just like a movie or TV show. People get injured doing stunts, and people get injured in the ring.

Like Harley Race says in his book
'The word Fake does the Industry a Grave injustice.Yes the Matches are Predetermined, but the skill, technique and most of all the Pain is very real"

Well, if you ask CNN, all wrestlers are 'musclebound grapplers' that can only grunt and do powerslams.

It sounds like this woman was real condescending. She should've been knocked down a peg Billy Jack Haynes style.

I'm pretty sure it wasn't the case when the Turner owned WCW was still around. I don't believe I've ever seen a news network or major magazine or whatever call wrestlers anything but big idiots who take pratfalls. And whenever you see clips of wrestling in the news, what do you see? AJ Styles doing impressive feats of acrobatics? Benoit or Finlay handing out stiff shots? No, you see the worst wrestlers in the worst matches, putting on terrible performances.
